You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing analytical solutions to bring direction and value to strategic business challenges. You will define and maintain a backlog of activities that aligns to the overarching objectives of Sales and Marketing. You will use your knowledge and skills to turn raw data into information and insights that can be used to make business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end journey to deliver actionable insights and make sure they embedded into business decision making process:

    • work closely with business teams across Maersk to understand the problem and bring adequate analytical solution

    • collaborate with data engineering and platform teams to ensure the data landscape and system functionality requirements are well defined and delivered against

    • exchange and work with other analysts in Customer Insights, Global Data & Analytics or third-party agencies to build analytical solutions

    • ensure that end users get actionable insights that allowed to take fact-based business decisions

    • ensure developed data products are embedded into business processes, adopted and regularly used to make better decisions


  • Drive the creation of a new data-driven customer segmentation that will be embedded in all part of the organization for strategic but as well for operational purposes.

  • Overseeing the continuous development and adoption of customer sub segmentations for relevant use cases, in close partnership with our Customer Insights and business functions, enabling effective targeting and activation of our customers

  • Strategically collaborate with different Sales & Marketing stakeholders to identify, prioritize and build needed analytical solutions that will enable data driven business decisions and bring top line growth

  • Put in place innovate and scalable analytical use cases, conduct full customer lifecycle analysis leveraging internal and 3rd party data


What are we looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role

  • Strong experience on data analytics, segmentation models, advanced analytics including ML

  • Previous hands-on experience in analytical tools or languages

  • Data visualization knowledge

  • Ability to lead a team of 1-2 analysts, coach and foster collaboration will be key, both within the immediate customer Insights team but also in the wider community

  • Democratize data insights, ensure stakeholders adopt and use delivered insights to take data driven decisions

  • Strong ability to present and enlighten others about your findings, at the top and bottom of the organization

  • Able to understand Customer lifecycle management programs and provide insights to maximize customer value

  • Strong experience and understanding of customer segmentation data driven approaches

  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen

  • Exposure to marketing communication principals

  • Experience in translating customer needs into product focus areas and requirements

  • Experience in implementing innovative ideas through persuasive reasoning

  • A track record in change management through communication

  • Data based decision making capabilities
