Head of Department - Major Crossings

You will join our Major Crossings division

As our new Head of Department for Major Bridges in Copenhagen, you will be leading a team of app. 25 people all with direct reports to you. You will also be part of the management team for the Major Crossings division and will have a significant influence on the success of the division. We’re a division of app. 200 staff across 4 countries. We work in most parts of the world, but our current focus is Europe, North America and South East Asia. Your job will be to maintain the collaboration between the different countries and grow the Major Bridges team.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Head of Department for app. 25 staff will full HR responsibility
  • Full profit and loss responsibility for the department
  • Work closely with the business development team to win work for the division and be a driving force in pursuing opportunities
  • Facilitate the development of team including personal development plans (PDP)
  • Part of the Major Crossings Leadership team together with the Head of Departments from the other countries/departments
  • Mange a multicultural team with more than 15 different nationalities
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for the division
  • Initiate, develop and collaborate with internal and external networks to enhance Ramboll’s consulting reputation
  • Ensure compliance with Ramboll’s Governance Principals

You will report to the Global Division Director, who is based in our Copenhagen office. Your base will the Ramboll Head Office in Copenhagen, one of the hubs for our international work. The job will require some travel, and you are expected to live in Denmark or southern Sweden. Ramboll will provide you with the needed support to relocate you to Denmark if you currently live elsewhere. A commute arrangement where you fly in Monday morning and return home Friday afternoon will not be possible as a permanent solution but could be considered until you have yourself set up in Denmark
