We are looking for a new Account Manager to join our Nordic Analytical Instruments team!
This is a field-based role, covering Denmark, and will involve extensive travel on a weekly basis within your territory. When not travelling you will be able to work from home.
As our new Account Manager and Sales Representative within our Analytical Instruments team you will sell our Chromatography and Trace Elemental product portfolio to a wide variety of customers in the Pharma, Healthcare, Environmental and Industrial sectors. Our product portfolio includes HPLC, Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Ion Chromatography, Elemental products, DIA and Chromeleon Software, plus all associated laboratory consumables and service packages.
You will manage pre-existing customers, maintaining a strong ongoing relationship while working to open up new sales opportunities within existing and new accounts. You will also develop in-depth knowledge of the Analytical Instruments market, our customers and our competitors and utilize this to identify new customers and win new business.
You will build and manage relationships with a wide range of key stakeholders, not only the customer, but also our Distributors, Channel Managers, Product Specialists and Sales Specialists.

What will you do?
• Identify prospective buyers of Thermo Fisher products and services with the goal of winning new accounts and expanding market share
• Negotiate contracts and close orders with end users and purchasing departments and support all procurement processes
• Consistently achieve or exceed order bookings objectives on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Enter accurate and complete customer data and sales information into the company sales database (SFDC CRM system)
• Provide accurate and timely weekly sales forecasts to sales management
• Assist sales leadership with future financial planning by providing insight into the prospects for growth within your territory
• Deliver technical and business presentations at trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars and other customer events
• Meet your key performance indicators (KPI’s) as set by sales leadership
Who we are looking for: (experience, skills & abilities)
• Strong technical background in Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, or/and Trace Elemental, gained in a lab setting
• Ideally some experience of selling capital analytical equipment and associated consumables
• Alternatively, a candidate with no sales experience but with strong commercial awareness and good technical knowledge of analytical instrumentation gained as a lab scientist or technician (or similar)
• A broad familiarity with any of the following industries would be an advantage: Pharmaceutical, CRO, Environmental, Food/Flavors, Clinical, Toxicology, Forensics and Chemical
• A sales mindset; strongly motivated by targets and the desire to win new business
• Must reside within Denmark and be able to travel frequently on a weekly basis within the assigned territory
• Must hold a valid Driving Licence
• Fluent in English and Danish (essential)
