The APMM Safety & Resilience Function is brand new and represents a more integrated, simplified approach to some of APMMs most important business activities.
Made up of four teams covering Occupational Health, Safety and Environment; Security, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management; Safety & Resilience Strategy; and Safety and Resilience Risk and Insights.
The function has clearly defined purpose to:

• Eliminate fatalities and severe injuries
• Enable Maersk to be a preferred employer
• Provide safe and resilient products and services to our customers.
This position sits in the Global Security and Business Resilience team

Reporting to the Head of Global Security & Business Resilience, the BC Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing a Business Continuity Program for APMM in close coordination with key stakeholder across the business.
This role supports the Senior Business Continuity Manager in setting global standards for BCM across APMM, supports and guides BCM owners/focal points in the business and conducts assurance across APMM.
The primary area of focus will be continuous improvement of the BCM framework, support and guide BCM owners/focal points in the business in their implementation of the framework with focus on creating value for the business and our customers.
Other key tasks:
• Provide support to the Senior BC Manager working with BCM owners/focal points across brands in APMM and conducting actual implementation of BCPs and associated documentation and processes
• Translate the strategic requirements making a simple yet compliant BCM program for integrated brands liaising closely with BC colleagues in these brands.
• Ensure APMM headquarters (critical sites) has site BC Plan (BCP) in place and that these are regularly updated in close coordination with facilities management on sites.
• Oversee and support integrated brands in periodic BC testing and drills, ensure to utilize opportunity to exercise together with the Crisis Management Teams (CMTs) in the frontline
• Take a proactive role in supporting development (and later continuous improvement) of the Business Resilience (BR) structure including setting and managing the project team, establishing project plan, track milestones etc.
The ideal candidate preferably holds a degree in Business Continuity Management, emergency/crisis management or related subjects combined with a minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience including +2 years in business continuity role.
You must be a BCM certified practitioner.
You:
• Have experience with business continuity, crisis management, and disaster recovery programs, methodologies, and applicable principles as well as their methods of implementation and maintenance
• Preferably have experience from transport, logistic, retail or related businesses
• Have good stakeholder management skills and must be able to influence without authority
• Have the ability to work hands-on and support the solutions as and when needed
• Are well-articulated and used to present or pitch towards senior management required
• Listen actively and invites dialogue for exchanged opinions, then influences and acts to drive performance and achieve results
• Build strong relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
• Have excellent English language skills verbal and written
