Your work will impact the stem cell project pipeline with the overall goal to develop innovative stem cell-based curative treatments for patients suffering from serious chronic conditions.
About the department
The position is based in the Stem Cell Research function in Måløv, Denmark, a unit in Stem Cell R&D. The Research function is responsible for identifying, validating and progressing pre-clinical data in selected new stem cell based therapy areas to preclinical PoC.
We work in close collaboration with the CMC & Manufacturing and Development functions with the common goal to bring the growing pipeline of stem cell based therapies into clinical trials. Project management and leadership of the projects in the research phase are thus crucial for successful progression of all projects in the Stem Cell R&D portfolio. In addition to progress the multidicilpinary projects, we also have a strong focus on collaborations with external partners. Thus, a wide interdisciplinary understanding of development processes for biopharmaceuticals is needed to support decision making and progress within this area.

The position
As a project manager/director, you will be responsible for project planning, budgeting and progression of 3-4 projects in the research phase with tight deadlines with a high focus on quality and speed. For each project there is a project management core group consisting of a Project manager member from Research, CMC & Manufacturing and Development. The role as the project Lead will change among them according to project status towards FHD.
Your ability to facilitate problem solving processes, lead and coordinate the project teams, and provide clear communication and recommendations will be key to your success in the role.
You will be part of the Stem Cell Research management team, and work in close collaboration with research line managers to ensure optimal support to the different projects and contribute to setting the stage and develop the Research documentation packages in the evolving field of stem cell based therapy. As part of this, a close interaction and alignment with the two other PMs in the core group are essential to secure the optimal strategy towards clinical trials and market.
You have strong focus on driving the projects timely and successfully forward in close dialog with the overall project and management teams. Moreover, the job will require internal and external collaboration with people of many different backgrounds, across organisational levels and geography.
Qualifications
You have a PhD in Life Sciences (or equivalent) and a strong research and project management background. You have +5 years of project management track record preferably within drug candidate development for clinical trials. Previous experience within the stem cell field and immunology knowledge will be an advantage. In addition, a good international network, preferably with experience from working cross-culturally or in global teams. You are highly motivated to work in a result-oriented cell therapy discovery environment, where projects are diverse and demand the need for your flexibility and full attention.
You have great interpersonal skills with a high sense of empowerment. You communicate well and convincingly at all levels of the organisation.
