Head of Obesity
Europe North & Central is looking for a Head of Obesity for the business area. In this job we offer an exciting opportunity with lots of challenges, personal and professional development among good colleagues in a positive working environment. The job is located in Ørestad, Copenhagen.
About the department
The Europe North & Central business area comprises of affiliates in the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Finland and Austria and employs more than 600 employees. With our annual turnover of close to 6 billion DKK we are the biggest business area in Novo Nordisk. In addition, the business area is also among the first to launch the newest products on a global level.
The Europe North & Central Commercial Innovation department is responsible for driving commercial innovation within GLP-1, Biopharm, Obesity and digital health and multi-channel engagement to meet and exceed our ambitious commercial commitments. The department consists of 4 experienced employees reporting into the Commercial Innovation Director responsible of providing high quality services and expertise to help the 9 North & Central affiliates reach their goals.
The position
We expect the obesity area to be a key growth driver for the business area in the coming years. As Head of Obesity, your main tasks will be:
- Drive the building and execution of the Obesity strategy and ambition
- Establish, refine and drive innovative business models and partnerships in affiliates to secure access and growth in affiliates
- Ensure that all affiliates have a clear local strategy for obesity, short and long term
- Have up to date knowledge of Obesity situation in affiliates. Track and improve obesity commercial performance
- Represent the business area in the European Obesity Leadership Team
- Setup and lead Obesity functional group with our affiliates, to ensure information and knowledge sharing
- Close collaboration with local management teams on organizational set-up and defining roles and capabilities.
- Evaluate business cases (including price business cases)
We continuously strive to improve our performance and you are expected to pro-actively optimise processes, improve quality levels and simplify deliverables from affiliates.
You will act as a motivated and highly engaged member of the team, role modelling the Novo Nordisk Way. You will secure strong sales performance in North and Central, and lead the way together with the affiliates, by being a trusted and solution oriented sparring partner.
Qualifications
You hold a master’s degree in business, Economics, Science or similar and have at least 8 years of industrial experience within marketing, sales, market access or similar. Experience from the Obesity or affiliated therapy areas is an advantage. You have strong analytical skills, a proactive can-do mind-set and you strive for excellence. You have a positive approach to tasks and a good sense of humour. You are self-driven, comfortable taking on new responsibilities and you can see opportunities and invite yourself to the table. You have great communication skills and you can cooperate effectively with people at all levels in the organisation. You must be fluent in English.
Finally, in North & Central we have a strong focus on business mind-set. To be successful with us you must understand that all business is created in the affiliates and that your role as a Head of Obesity is to help growing the business by supporting the affiliates through everything you do.
