Patient access is increasingly important for the commercial success of pharmaceutical products. A key challenge for the pharmaceutical industry is to get the healthcare decision makers to support funding of innovative medicines. Such a new environment requires communicating strong value messages based on robust and credible evidence.
About the department
Global Patient Access is an expanding, international, high performing team of colleagues in Søborg, Denmark, responsible for optimizing patient access for the continued success of the Novo Nordisk Portfolio. In close collaboration with key internal stakeholders, Global Patient Access establishes the strategies and key support tactics in the area of pricing, reimbursement, health economics & outcomes research, value communication, and subsequently supports the implementation regionally and locally. The current vacancy is within the Patient Access team handling the Obesity & NASH portfolio.
The position
As our new head of obesity patient access you will develop and execute the Saxenda and SemaglutideObesity patient access strategy, while ensuring a high level of quality and timely output are delivered from the cross funtional team.
You will represent Patient Access within Novo Nordisk and in the relevant Global Project Team, and ensure that Obesity Patient Access is a prioritised corporate object.
To succeed, you will develop strong relationships and secure engagement with key stakeholders, internally and externally. Proactive communication and close collaboration with teams and stakeholders across the organisation is a key success factor for this role!
Key responsibilities:
- Drive the team transition from Saxenda to Semaglutide Obesity
- Drive the SemaglutideObesity Launch Activity Process from a Patient Access perspective
- Deliver and set strategic guidance to the affiliates and HQ functions regarding launch of semaglutideObesity
- Manage the team responsible for Saxenda and SemaglutideObesity
- Lead the Loss of Exclusivity process for Saxenda from a Patient Access perspective
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree within business administration, natural sciences or similar combined with exceptional pharmaceutical business understanding.
You have at least 10 years of marketing and brand management experience within pharma combined with excellent management skills and experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
The ideal candidate has proven abilities in strategy development and market analysis as well as launch planning and execution combined with global and affiliate experience and a solid track record of success!
To successfully handle responsibilities in this position, strong marketing and strategic insight must be combined with outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills. You can set direction, inspire and motivate your team and build excellent relationships with stakeholders. You can drive cross-functional projects and manage a complex stakeholder landscape.
