Senior Trial Planning Analyst in Global Trial Planning, Global Development

Novo Nordisk will in the coming years have an increasingly high activity level within clinical trials and product approvals. As Trial Planning Analyst in Global Trial Planning you will be responsible for a variety of tasks leading to global country and patient allocation into our clinical trials which is one of the keys for a successful trial execution.

Global Development is responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide from early development phases to product introduction. We ensure medical and scientific documentation for clinical submissions and authorities while ensuring that the process lives up to uniform global standards, regulations and business ethics. We work in global project teams with focus on delivering viable products that make a difference to patients and ultimately benefit society.

About the department

Global Trial Planning (GTP) is a centre of expertise within patient forecasting, analysis and allocation. GTP is anchored in Global Development and is responsible for allocating patients from more than 50 countries into our clinical trials. The department consists of five dedicated employees each with separate responsibilities towards the NN affiliates and Global Development Project teams located in Denmark. We work in a global and complex environment interacting with numerous stakeholders at different levels in our affiliates as well as in our HQ Global Development (project teams).

The position

We are looking for a new colleague to our team, ready to be involved in a broad variety of tasks and projects across the team. The actual patient allocation process is based on a combined quantitative and qualitative approach, where clinical trial requirements together with various data-sets are considered. Your overall daily tasks will be combining a variety of data sources with trial requirements and global cross-portfolio strategic considerations and insights reaching operationally feasible trial allocations. In addition, the approach to Global Trial Planning is constantly evolving, so there will also be an element of participating in workstreams focusing on bringing Global Trial Planning/Feasibility to the next level. As part of Global Development, you will work in close collaboration with colleagues within this area as well as in our affiliates. You will report to the Director of GTP.

Qualifications

You have a relevant master’s degree within natural science, and we see that you have at least two years’ experience from Clinical Development and preferably experience with trail execution. You are analytical by nature, quality conscious and have a strong personal drive to reach goals. You are competent in the use of IT applications such as Excel and see challenges such as technical limitations as an opportunity to learn more.

As you will be interacting with numerous colleagues globally and cross-functionally you must be team oriented with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You have the ability of taking the helicopter view, when needed, while keeping a sharp eye on the details. Finally, you have professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
