Your new role
The VP, Head of Segment: Water Supply & Urban Drainage, APAC will have the overall strategic and P&L responsibility for the specific segment, including setting commercial priorities and driving the innovation pipeline in close cooperation with the EVP/GBUL. The VP is responsible for securing the
growth and profitability of the segment in accordance with the strategic direction and go-to market plans. Furthermore, the VP is responsible for securing a strong cooperation across segments and the Global Business Units.
The VP will play a vital role in contributing to the SDGs. The VP will also be responsible for management and leadership, sales and marketing in the segment, and developing and maintaining business opportunities and customer relations.
The VP of Water Supply & Urban Drainage, APAC will be the direct leader for 5-6 people located in China, New Zealand, and Australia. The VP will also be part of the leadership team and will have direct input and a stake in all decisions on the overall business unit with four other leaders.
Furthermore, the VP is responsible for driving sales and account management, securing access to relevant funding and partnerships, and acting as a role model with a focus on customers, growth, sustainability, innovation, and cooperation.
The position is located in Singapore. This individual will travel 40-50 days a year. The trips will be about 2-3 days long within the region.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position, one will have 5-10 years of experience selling a market around a consultancy business and a strong understanding of what utilities and cities need within water supply and urban drainage. Ideally, you have a background in consulting and experience selling technology. You have experience within the industry.
You have strong leadership qualities with a commercial and growth mindset. It is expected that you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy developing relationships with a team and with customers. You collaborate well with others in a complex cross-cultural environment. Ideally, you have work experience in the region (Australia, New Zealand, or China). You’re highly motivated and driven and have a pragmatic view. You have strong English language skills.
