About the job
As the Director of Speciality Restaurants we need you to take overall responsibility for operating three separate F&B outlets in three of our different venues. Most of our restaurants and cafés are operated by the hotels, but some of them are brands in their own right and we want to increase the operational and strategic focus on these outlets. Your first order of business is to evaluate and course-correct the current strategy and make a short-term plan with the different teams. Next you will need to build rapport with your colleagues in the group as well as partnering businesses and other stakeholders.
Going forward the emphasis is on results. Building effective operational processes, that maximize output as well as level of service. Our guests are our number one priority and our overall goal is to create service experiences second to none.
This position will be reporting directly to the CCO.
Tasks
Your responsibilities will include:
Securing professional operations of restaurant SUKAIBA and Café Orango Full P&L responsibility for the outlets under our supervision Securing the well-being and continual development of your teams Day-to-day operation of for the outlets under your supervision Maximization of performance and profit Development and implementation of the business plan for this new F&B unit Developing the concept for a new F&B outlet in our coming Hilton hotel (2021) Close collaboration with supporting departments (economy, sales, marketing etc.) Contribute to the yearly F&B business plan and the overall strategic plan for BC Hospitality Group Keep up-to-date on developments in the service industry and ensure implementation of best practice in your units Make sure that operations, service and strategy reflects the overall value set of BC Hopitality Group in particular in regard to sustainability and responsible hospitality. Reporting on operational performance to the CCO and other stakeholders
About you
Your understanding of F&B organization, strategy and operation, coupled with initiative and competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving success in this position. Your guests know you for delivering sublime service experiences and your colleagues known you for running exceptional F&B operations. You purposely drive toward results, while constantly and simultaneously problem-solve and engage commitment from our team, colleagues and stakeholders.
Even though your leadership style is firm and goal oriented, you manage to motivate, train, and engage others in an enthusiastic way. Because the work environment in BC Hospitality Group is faster than average, your ability to learn quickly and thoroughly while continually recognizing and adapting to changing conditions, is critical in this role.
Other than that:
You have proven track record running successful F&B outlets (5 years+) You are dependable, adaptable and flexible when necessary You are able to create structure and convey clear ownership You are able to extract and analyze relevant data, conclude and implement necessary actions A good commercial understanding, a structured approach and sense of urgency is vital to succeed in this role Strong communication skills in English written and spoken. Danish is a strong plus, but not a prerequisite You are willing to work flexible hours
