The Fleet & Strategic Brands (F&SB) Finance organisation are looking for a talented and motivated Financial Planning Analyst to join the F&SB
Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of setting the future direction for the F&SB division, by supporting the senior management in driving profitable growth in the independent businesses, resolving strategic challenges in current portfolio, continuing the development of Maersk Growth, further progress the value creation in Maersk Oil Trading, as well as ensuring continued focus on delivering industry leading procurement and fleet management services, including the progression on our ambitious CO2 agenda.
FP&A is a focal point in the diverse F&SB portfolio, being the central
anchor point in terms of performance management, management reporting, external reporting, forecasting, budgeting and for other finance related business support.
As a Financial Planning Analyst in FP&A, you will work across functions, brands and divisions together with a pool of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment.
You will get empowerment and senior management exposure towards the CFO of the F&SB division and finance teams across brands.

You will be functional reporting to the Head of F&SB FP&A and interact with multiple stakeholders within Maersk, primarily across the various finance teams.
Your main responsibilities will be to drive key financial processes and
operating system supporting management reporting, financial planning, performance management and decision making in close collaboration with stakeholders in other finance teams and with senior management.
You will report to stakeholders with clear business and financial insights and perform analyses of performance and trends to identify
and suggest appropriate actions.
Specific responsibilities as Financial Planning Analyst in FP&A:
• Further improve the management reporting framework across a very
diverse portfolio for all corporate cycles.
• Drive accurate, timely and aligned reporting of financial performance
incl. KPIs to the executive board.
• Facilitate the Maersk Operating System (MOS) and standard work
within the F&SB finance organization by driving the financial planning and process optimisation.
• Understand the business and finance footprint to proactively support with insight impacting forward looking business decision making and
improve business results.
• Drive various ad hoc financial analyses to senior stakeholders
across Maersk.
• You will work with multiple aspects of our financial reporting and system optimization, including where these can be improved.
The ideal candidate hold a Master’s degree in finance or economics (Cand.Merc, Cand.Polit, Cand.Oecon if from Denmark, or equivalent) combined with around 3+ years of work experience from positions within finance, management reporting, financial planning and analysis, performance management, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development, or equivalent.
You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in
understanding the business to drive performance and value.
Furthermore you:
• Are result driven and have a strong logical and analytical capacity
being well organized with high attention to detail
• Are a self-starter with a strong driving force, striving for continuous
improvement and wanting to solve problems even if finding answers are
not easy
• Are a team player who are used to and enjoy working independently
with ability to engage with and influence, guide and challenge multiple stakeholders
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong integrity and a humble personality that goes well with people at all levels in a global organisation
• Will work with all levels of our organization which requires a clear understanding of the level of quality and commitment required to meet
ambitious targets and transform our business as well as financial
processes
• Have a ‘self-starter attitude’ and independently be able to focus, see opportunities and invite yourself to the table
• Are skilled in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
