We offer
an exciting position where you will support the Regional Management team in the Europe Region to manage both the existing business and the ambitious growth agenda.
You will hold responsibility for a portfolio of Logistics Products and partner with the European management, Product teams, and Areas on performance management for both P&L and associated CAPEX - and further on growth planning including pipeline management, resource requirements, M&A and business case activities.
An integral part of the positions scope is to own the Maersk Operating System (MOS) – ensuring that the relevant audience has the right material at the right time, on quarterly and monthly basis. This involves a wide range of stakeholders and activities across the organisation – reporting upwards in the organisation towards the Global Executive management as well as acting as a link both towards the Areas (frontline) within the Region and the Centre Product Teams.

Key responsibilities
As a Finance Business Partner, you own the process for Region and Areas, ensuring timeline and task distribution to Areas, across Products and brands.
Key tasks:
• Ensure strategic initiatives are included in ROFO for the relevant Product with a meaningful link between growth and resource requirements
• Consolidate and review ROFO numbers per Product/Europe Areas to ensure a coherent story for Europe as a Region
• Develop and maintain templates supporting the forecast build-up and review of input by Area and Products
• Maintain and develop new reporting capabilities to be utilized on Region and Area level
Tasks Maersk Operating System (MOS):
• Develop and maintain the monthly MOS deck (Product and Area) – Participate in the MOS call
• Establish outlook across key metric (Revenue, Gross Profit, EBITDA & EBIT) per Product to steer the future decision making
• Document and follow up on action items
Other:
• Support Product with relevant performance metric
• Support development and review of strategic initiatives
• Establish monthly pre-close estimates
• Help with or create financial modelling where necessary
• Keep track of all investments in Region Europe including status of each project – and plan the investment follow up with the Area Finance teams
We are looking for
The ideal candidate for the role will have experience from working as a Business Partner, or from similar roles acting as an advisor towards management and/or business stakeholders (FP&A, Investment Analysis, or similar).
You have a thorough understanding of finance and a sincere interest in working with the business to drive performance and generate value.
Furthermore:
• You master translating data into business insights.
• You have excellent analytical skills and can use data to improve performance of Products including DQ and timely reporting of financial data.
• You have a natural flair for business understanding incl. the ability to quickly obtain business insight (business strategy, trades / products, market conditions, network and underlying value drivers, etc.).
• You take a holistic approach to information at hand and act accordingly.
• You have a partnering mindset – effective stakeholder management skills and able to build relationships across stakeholders/teams in the organization.
• You solve complex challenges based on accurate identification of underlying factors/causes and is aware of the impact of proposed solutions outside their own immediate area.
