Senior Business Analyst for Group Financial Planning & Analysis
Purpose of the position
Our Group Financial Planning & Analysis Team is responsible for driving the company’s short-term and long-term planning cycles, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure plans are aligned and executed upon. We are looking for a very experienced person to further strengthen the Group Financial Planning & Analysis function, to take us one step further, and to play a very central role in driving business performance management throughout DFDS.
Help us set the future direction for Group Financial Planning & Analysis.
Through close interaction with the Business Units, you will analyse, discuss and challenge our financial, operational and commercial performance and trends, and influence appropriate actions to ensure financial results meet the set targets.
You will work together with a team of highly skilled and talented people and getting early empowerment and responsibilities. You will join a diverse organization with a lot of future career opportunities for high performers.
Main responsibilities
As Senior Business Analyst in DFDS, you work with multiple aspects of our financial planning processes; process optimization and execution, financial planning, and analysis as well as communication towards top management of DFDS.

The position requires profound business and financial understanding as well as analytical skills at a very high level. The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in finance or Economics or equivalent.

Main responsibilities
As Senior Business Analyst in DFDS, you work with multiple aspects of our financial planning processes; process optimization and execution, financial planning, and analysis as well as communication towards top management of DFDS.
Elaborated tasks
- Responsible for execution, planning and design of all forecasting processes
- Driving an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.
- Performance analysis and special assignments to influence decisions. This includes research, analytics, and partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Delivering value-added business analysis as well as defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that lead to insightful, accurate business decision-making.
- Delivering a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models that enable the team to deliver insightful, value-added analysis
Preferred candidate profile
The position requires profound business and financial understanding as well as analytical skills at a very high level. The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree in finance or Economics or equivalent.
- You hold at least 12-15 years of work experience from a similar position within financial planning and analysis, performance management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent,
- Commercial and operational understanding, such as the implicit trade-offs of complex business dilemmas.
- Analytical skills and mindset
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels in a global organisation
