As Senior Financial Analyst you will have an active role in driving and managing team deliverables with focus on financial information, analysis and forecasts to support management decisions and the overall strategy in Maersk.
You are expected to obtain a thorough understanding of the business and combine this with financial insights to drive the analysis and insights to management.
Specific responsibilities include:
Financial reporting; Independently driving timely and high-quality financial reporting and analysis to key stakeholders, internally as well as externally, e.g. senior management, other functional areas in the organization, Investor Relations, Strategy, Investment Analysis, Accounting, Treasury and segment FP&A teams.
Performance management reporting; Contributes to performance management across Maersk, including analysis and preparation of periodic performance management analyses and material to senior management and Board of Directors.
Overall forecasting processes; Manages the forecasting tool and requirements to support performance management and forecasts across Maersk, and thus prepares analysis and interpretation of financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions.
Credit rating analyses; Overall analyses of our capital structure, leverage ratios and investment capacity and analyses to credit rating presentations.
Ad hoc financial analyses; Preparing the analysis and process for the determining the cost of capital for investment purposes, option valuation for management incentive schemes, ad hoc strategic project impact on overall Maersk financial position.
You hold a Master’s degree in finance, economics, MBA or equivalent.
You have 10 years of work experience within financial planning & analysis, investment analytics, project controlling, management and/or strategy consultancy, business development or equivalent.
A strong analytical mindset is a must and you should thrive with multiple tasks and challenges at hand, while effectively manage tight deadlines, sometimes with high intensity and urgent deliverables.
You have a positive attitude and have outspoken collaboration skills.
Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint is a requirement as you will be leading financial modelling. Experience from working with OneStream and business intelligence systems is an advantage.
You have a solid understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles.
You are a self-starter, striving for continuous process improvements and hold attention to the detail.
Excellent communication skills and mastering the discipline of presenting data in a clear and concise manner is a must.
You are fluent in written and spoken English. Danish is not required.
