Web App Developer within Robotics and Laboratory Automation
Would you like to pioneer laboratory automation platforms to help create the medicines of the future? Can you integrate hardware robotics and software servers and make intuitive GUI’s? Then join the team in the Department of Process Optimisation.
The position
In the expanding department, we are 6 highly motivated specialists who build automation solutions to support the cutting edge research performed by our colleagues in Novo Nordisk A/S. Specifically, we build autonomous robots to perform experiments without human intervention (closed loop optimisation). Furthermore, we help build the understanding and the connectivity needed for modern laboratories of the future. We strive to use and contribute to Open Source at any given opportunity.
Your responsibilities include:
Qualifications
You will have a degree in computer science, software engineering or have corresponding work experience. You have significant knowledge and experience with general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Java or C#). A distinct advantage would be if you were familiar with SiLA, OPC-UA or laboratory data formats standards. You have a proven ability of building front-ends, data-presentations or dash-boards and integrating databases. Preferentially you’ve worked with AWS cloud and have DevOps experience.
As a person you are curious, friendly, and a “build-your-own-drone-from-scratch”-type of person. You are sad that LEGO is abandoning the Mindstorms series.
Solid English capabilities are required for writing documentation and for communication with colleagues in a multinational corporation.
About the department
You will be working in an area called Digital Science & Innovation which is supporting the digital journey across all our therapy areas in Research & Early Development (R&ED). We work in multidisciplinary teams, have strong collaboration with all areas across R&ED to leverage scientific knowledge, and partner with our IT organisation, to ensure access to the most advanced technology platforms and tools. We participate in drug development projects across the value chain, from early research to pre-clinical development. We engage on external collaborations to ensure access to the latest research and technology enablers, we automate our labs and processes, and we focus on developing and retaining top talent.
Contact
For further information, please contact Director, Søren Bertelsen at +45 3075 8647.
Deadline
16 January 2023.
We will review applications on an ongoing basis.
You do not need to attach a cover letter to your application, but please include a few sentences about why you are applying in your resume or CV. To ensure an efficient and fair recruitment process, please refrain from adding a photo in your CV.
We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
