In your new job, you will be leading the project of implementing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) by driving action towards compliance in the Annual Report 2024 as the first main goal and then continuing with the ongoing work and new projects within ESG reporting compliance.
While being organizationally anchored in the Sustainability team, reporting to the Director of Sustainability, you will be working just as close with Group Financial Reporting & Compliance driving CSRD implementation with the ESG Finance team. You will also engage with a broad range of other stakeholders across the Demant Group’s business areas, functions and global sites that own disclosures in the new reporting set-up.
In your daily job, you can look forward to working alongside 12 great colleagues in Demant’s Corporate Communication & Sustainability department that handle internal and external corporate communication and sustainability. We are situated close to Demant’s top management, in a low-hierarchical organisation with a constant flow of new development opportunities – personal as well as professional.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Summed up, you will be focusing on these main tasks and responsibilities:
Cross-functional reporting or sustainability projects in a medium or large sized listed company
We want you to bring your ideas to the organisation with a proactive and engaged mindset, a positive attitude, and an enthusiasm for facilitating change. You like to get things moving and to guide colleagues in and outside your own team on how to progress with their deliverables.
You enjoy delivering projects across business areas and functions and engaging with stakeholders on all levels of an organisation. If you don’t have the solution yourself, you do not shy away from reaching out to colleagues or leverage your network for outside experiences and input. You have trust in yourself and trust in others, and you are a team-oriented person.
We expect you to have a couple of years of relevant experience within project management, sustainability, reporting or related fields and maybe experience from a PMO function. Currently, you could find yourself working in a role, consulting other companies in ESG implementation but are looking to switch to the industry side.
It is essential that you have the desire and motivation to learn and gain new knowledge about cross-functional reporting and sustaiability. If you already have some experience with existing and new sustainability reporting frameworks such as Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the EU taxonomy it is only a plus. The most important thing is that you want to learn how to work with sustainability in a large global enterprise.

- Follow up on existing CSRD implementation plan
- Follow up with project participants and hold participants accountable for milestones in implementation plan
- Liaise with Group Sustainability and Group Finance to ensure coordination
- Prepare materials regarding updates on implementation for project steerco, Finance, Sustainability Board, Executive Board and Audit Committee
- Follow up and ensure closure of process gaps towards compliance with the CSRD in Annual Report 2024
- Drive other sustainability or ESG reporting compliance projects
