Senior Director to head new Medical & Science Department for CagriSema

About the department
To accelerate and expand the promising novel therapy CagriSema, a dedicated area has been established as part of Clinical Drug Development located in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. In Medical & Science CagriSema, we are medically responsible for the clinical development program including planning and execution of clinical trials and non-interventional studies, medical and scientific support to health authority interactions, publications, presentations, and more.
The area currently consists of 1 department of 11 medical doctors and 1 clinical pharmacologist, and we are actively recruiting more.
About the position
You will be heading up a new Medical & Science department and have the following responsibilities:
Hiring specialists with complementary skillsets to deliver an innovative and high-quality clinical development program of CagriSema across indications.
Develop competencies of the people you lead by coaching and guidance and help grow ideas into innovation while ensuring resources and prioritization.
Manage relationships with internal and external key collaborators, including Novo Nordisk affiliates. It will be your responsibility to ensure the medical deliveries, both by leading others as well as executing strategic hands-on work yourself.
Collaborate closely with other managers and take an active part in developing the area as well as a lead role in various organisation improvement projects.
Report to the Vice President of Medical & Science and become a member of the CagriSema leadership team.
Qualifications
You hold a university degree as a Medical Doctor and have dedicated clinical research experience, preferably through a PhD or similar. Broad drug development expertise from the pharmaceutical industry is expected and prior people management experience (direct or indirect) is expected.
As a professional, you thrive in a dynamic and international environment with attention to quality and innovation. You have strong coordination/planning and collaborative capabilities and have key attributes including analytical and strategic skills, creativity, curiosity, flexibility, commitment, and ability to prioritise tasks. You enjoy working with a high level of complexity and have solid problem-solving capabilities supporting this. Most importantly you are a lifelong learner and welcome the opportunity to develop new skills and gain further experience within drug development.
We work in a global environment hence proficiency in English is needed.
