About the position
As our new Senior Scientific Publications Manager, you will be instrumental in developing publication strategies and managing the publication plans for major clinical trials. You will be working closely with external Health Care Professionals (HCP) and key opinion leaders as well as colleagues across the organisation including medical affairs, clinical development, data science, safety, discovery, patient access and affiliate/regional offices. In this key position you will report to the Director of Scientific Publications.
In this position you will be working with Steering Committees overseeing the trials. And will be responsible for planning and execution of publication plans, vendor management and budget management. In addition, you will also ensure that ethical and transparency standards and guidelines are adhered to and be an ambassador for good publication practice. Furthermore, you will be required to explore new communication channels and formats and be scientifically savvy to facilitate consistent scientific communication with the intended users.
Above all, to succeed you need to provide impact and combine your knowledge and experience with outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills. You build constructive relationships with key opinion leaders and across multi-disciplinary departments and can manage agencies to deliver to budget and target.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
• Master’s degree in pharmacy, science or other relevant
• Publications management experience from pharma or medical communications (minimum 4 years)
• Project management experience
• Demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with successful outcomes
• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English
You also must have an interest in:
• Impactful scientific communication
• Innovative publications extender development
On a personal level, you have the ability and willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment. We are looking for a new thinking and innovative person to develop and improve processes related to publication planning. Scientific publication processes have impact across multiple disciplines, functions, units and/or geographies, therefore strong communication skills are required to successfully understand and implement innovation and change.

The Scientific Publications team is anchored in Global Medical Affairs (GMA), responsible for publishing scientific research across all drug development phases. We are looking for a publication professional to join the Scientific Publications team in the company headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.
