The position
As Clinical Pharmacology Specialist, you will be responsible for driving clinical pharmacology programmes and trials supporting early and late-stage development projects. You will work closely with medical specialists, clinical operations, pharmacometricians and other scientists, and apply your leadership skills to contribute to the strategy of the clinical development program within diabetes.
Your key responsibilities:
  • Be scientifically responsible for clinical pharmacology trial designs, protocols, oversight as well as interpretation and reporting of trial results
  • Drive and coordinate activities in the headquarters study group, collaborate with our affiliates and external partners involved in the management of our clinical trials, and interact with many internal and external global stakeholders
  • Lead cross-functional project teams and represent Clinical Pharmacology in global project teams
  • Interact with Health Authorities and be responsible for clinical pharmacology summaries for the clinical pharmacology parts of a submission dossier and provide clinical pharmacology input to secure approvals of new drugs
  • Qualifications
    To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • Master’s degree in Life Sciences, complemented by a PhD
  • Preferably 4+ years’ experience within Clinical Pharmacology in pharma or biotech industry
  • Strong scientific and strategic mindset with knowledge in Clinical Pharmacology and pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics
  • Experience in planning and conducting trials
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional global teams in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English

    The Clinical Pharmacology department is anchored in the Diabetes Medical & Science area and is responsible for clinical pharmacology aspects of development projects within the Diabetes portfolio. We are a department of dedicated and highly engaged colleagues working in a flexible, collaborative, and cross-functional setting.
    Clinical Pharmacology plays a key role from the early (first human dose) throughout all clinical development stages (Ph1-Ph3) of new drugs at Novo Nordisk. We work as an integrated part of development and research project teams, being responsible for the clinical pharmacology. We are scientifically responsible for the planning and oversight of Clinical Pharmacology trials. We provide clinical pharmacology expertise to all clinical development phases, Health Authority interactions, and regulatory submissions worldwide.
