The position
As our new Environmental Compliance Specialist you will join a highly skilled, well-established team responsible for ensuring Novo Nordisk Environmental Compliance. You will be anchored in the Compliance and Expansions Support department, which is an integral part of Environment and Social Sustainability (ESS), in Product Supply Quality and IT (PSQIT).
Together with your colleagues you will support with environmental compliance related activities across Novo Nordisk production sites to support our existing production facilities and ambitious portfolio of capacity expansion projects.
Specifically your key tasks will be to:
• Support Novo Nordisk production sites, predominantly in Denmark but also setting the standard for product supply globally, with environmental permits and negotiation of permit terms.
• Act as single point of entry to relevant authorities to ensure a smooth and efficient environmental permitting process according to terms as required.
• Support relevant internal/ external reporting deadlines and processes to ensure timely reporting of environmental compliance data.
• Host 3rd part inspections and participate in Novo Nordisk’s internal audit programme, linked to our ISO14001 certification.
• Act as valued sparring partner for Novo Nordisk production and other internal stakeholders to drive smooth efficient processes to environmental compliance with existing and emerging requirements.
• Identify and drive improvement within the existing Novo Nordisk environmental management system.
Qualifications
We imagine that a successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment and has:
• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Environment, or related.
• +5 years of experience as Environmental Compliance Advisor or similar in a private company or public organization.
• As Novo Nordisk is certified to ISO14001 for Environmental Management, previous experience of working with a certified management system according to this standard or similar is advantageous.
• Experience in managing projects for process optimization.
• Full proficiency in both Danish and English.
