If yes, then we have the perfect opportunity for you as International Medical Vice President (IMVP), Diabetes in our Clinical Drug Development area. The Position Being an experienced and highly motivated IMVP you will help securing Novo Nordisk a leading position within Diabetes. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across various projects and departments to drive success. As a senior clinical medical expert in Novo Nordisk’s Development organization, you will be responsible for providing expert medical input to all medical aspects within clinical and scientific insight into drug development. You will be accountable for ensuring that all clinical aspects are aligned with medical standards and guidelines. Key Responsibilities Supporting the VP of Medical & Science in executing the must win battles and key strategic elements, you will drive medical and clinical aspects of the strategy for the Diabetes therapy area, ensuring scientific state of the art clinical development, implementation and operationalizability. At the same time you will provide projects in Clinical Drug Development with medical expertise within the Diabetes area including insights into current and new diagnostics, biomarkers, new treatment modalities, translational medicine, and new digital health solutions. With a focus on innovation and dynamics in the therapeutic area, allowing Medical & Science to raise the innovation bar for new and existing treatments, you will drive and/or support medical expert groups securing scientifically sound medical deliverables and ensuring cross-project and functional input, alignment and implementation. At the same time, you will provide scientific insight and support to the Medical & Science department in the integration phase of new molecules and acquired assets incl. companies. Aditionally, you will drive and/or support cross-functional end to end forums/networks securing sound scientific deliverables both on therapeutic area-, project- and portfolio level. Other responibilities include representing the project(s) on health authority-related matters as medical expert as well as contributing and representing Development in HA/academia/industry collaborative meetings/projects incl. private-public partnerships. Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this role, you will need to have an MD degree, PhD, or equivalent scientific experience, with an extensive clinical/medical background within diabetes. We are looking for candidates with several years of experience in academia, pharma/biotech, and a deep understanding of the solid drug development process. You must have strong cross-functional teamwork experience and excellent communication skills to effectively present complex information to top-level academia or management. Collaboration is key to success in this role, as you will be required to work closely with team members in Medical & Science and across our matrix organization as a scientific lead operating according to the Novo Nordisk Way. Additionally, the ability to drive change in an ambiguous environment and have a positive impact across the organization is essential. A proactive, innovative, and solution-oriented mindset is highly valued, as is the ability to understand and manage stakeholder relations effectively.
About the Department The Diabetes project area is anchored in Clinical Drug Development under our Development organization. We are responsible for an exciting pipeline of clinical development programs targeting people living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Our trial activities range from phase 1 to phase 4 and includes –Real-World Evidence activities, virtual and decentralized trials, and non-interventional studies. We collaborate closely across many skill areas and together we all contribute with our high level of expertise – we strive to remain a best-in-class development organization.
