Do you want to support research in eating disorders? Do you wish to contribute to clinical research in a multidisciplinary international environment?
The Center for Research in Eating and feeding Disorders (CEDaR) at Mental Health Center Ballerup seeks a research coordinator to join a strong international research environment in eating disorders, starting from November 2024 or soon thereafter. The position will be offered at 80-100% FTE and initially for one year, with the possibility of an extension to a total of 4 years.
The position and tasks
You will support Prof Nadia Micali and other senior staff members.
In particular you will develop protocols and procedures for human research studies, and be responsible for regulatory procedures.
You will ensure that research material is handled in accordance with established protocols, policies, and procedures.
You will develop proposals for the ethics committee and manage correspondence and ethical approvals.
You will contribute to recruitment of participants and help develop strategies for participant recruitment. This will include troubleshooting problems at all stages of project development and implementation and assist with modifying protocols or project procedures to address challenges.
You will support the administration of two large international grants, including amongst other tasks minute taking, organising meetings, ensure administrative requirements are up to date, etc.
You will support the organisation of internal CEDaR meetings.
Environment
The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) https://www.psykiatri-regionh.dk/cedar/Pages/default.aspx is a multicultural and multidisciplinary team recently set up with a large portfolio of grants, across epidemiological, genetic, neuroimaging, and clinical intervention studies in feeding and eating disorders. We are a dynamic, collaborative, and international team, that is rapidly growing. The unit has several international collaborations with the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland.
Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic, organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills.
Essential requirements are:
Conditions:
Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisations.
The position is in accordance with best Danish labour practices, including a 37-hour work week, six weeks of paid vacation per annum, funded parental leave, matched pension contributions, enrolment in national healthcare, and labour union representation.
The position is initially offered for a fixed-term of one year with the possibility of an extension.

- Motivation to support research in eating disorders.
- Master’s degree in public health or psychology
- Some experience in effective project management and co-ordination.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Danish
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Self-directed, proactive and timely in the management of assignments.
- Prior experience in research in eating disorders is a desired but not essential requisite
