The position
We have in Q4 2021 launched a new HR Strategy enabling our corporate strategy “Rolling towards 2025”. In this HR Strategy we are moving beyond Dave Ulrich and organizing us around strategic HR Business Partnership, Global People Services, Global Thought Leadership and an internal agile execution department. We are focusing on 4 MWB being: HR Operational Excellence, Organisational Capabilities, Future Leadership and Change & Transformation
The role is a matrix role where you will be the overall responsible as Strategic HR Business Partner for our commercial division in Europe building a transformational HR response the business challenges and opportunities at hand. The Strategic HR Business Partner will act as the primary HR responsible to a dedicated member of the Executive Board
You 2nd leg of the role is as Global Thought Leader on Future Leadership and succession planning being accountable of the STG leadership model executed through the Strategic HR Business Partners in all divisions
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
You will be working out of our head office in Gentofte and can expect to have approx. 15 - 20 travel days per year.
What is needed to succeed?
In addition to a relevant degree you have at least 8 years of relevant working experience in an international environment. While you optimally hold HR experience you could also have a background within strategy, economics or commercial leadership. You are a natural networker and intuitively know when, what and how to influence.
You have demonstrated experience in working in a matrix environment understanding a business model founded in global end-2-end processes and hold a strong track record developing and executing initiatives with scale. Additionally, you have shown how to develop and scale global capability building of leadership. Finally, is it important you understand the complexity of working in a corporate and changing organisation.
About the HR department
You will join the dedicated Group HR department in the Group’s head office. We are busy and continue to have exciting and important tasks ahead of us. The HR function is involved in the world-wide business of Scandinavian Tobacco Group which is focused on cigars and includes subsidiaries in approx. 20 countries and export sales to more than 100 countries.

- Head of HR for the Division Europe Branded
- Trusted HR Advisor to Senior Leadership within our Division Europe Branded
- Build a talent enabled global organization by driving the talent agenda within the Division Europe Branded
- Define and execute a functional sourcing strategy in the division (e.g., build, buy or borrow talent)
- Drive change and leadership development based on the STG framework
- Own and drive the global agenda on Global Leadership across the entire company as well as being concept responsible of the global succession planning process
- Member of the global HR leadership team
