EcoTree is looking for a talented part-time Management Assistant in Copenhagen.

Who are we?

EcoTree is a Greentech scaleup on a mission to make the world a greener place by planting, developing and managing sustainable forests across Europe. We started our journey in France and are now growing throughout Europe.

We make investing in nature easy and rewarding for the planet and the pocket. Businesses (in fact anyone) can now own their own biodiverse forests, by owning their own trees. The sustainable management of our forests means that tree owners' support to biodiverse forests now will help protect our planet and pay them back financially in the future. Our world-class carbon methodology means that we can help companies meet their Net Zero commitments at the same time.

EcoTree forests are in France and Scandinavia today. We aim to launch further projects throughout Europe within 2-3 years.

Who are you?

You have Finance and HR interests and aptitudes. You are looking to join (first part-time and then, possibly, full-time) and help build a successful, dynamic and diverse company.

  • Knowledge of Finance, HR and Office Management roles, primarily in Denmark.
  • Knowledge of administrative and accounting management, management assistance or administrative work.
  • Knowledge of labour law and HR best practices in Denmark.
  • Autonomy, proactivity, creativity, interpersonal skills, good written and oral communication, team spirit and adaptability
  • High language proficiency in both Danish and English is mandatory, as well as the ability to work in a multicultural environment. Skills in the French language are a high plus.
  • An interest in climate change and a passion for nature and preserving the environment.... and our forests, of course.

What will be your responsibilities?

Finance & accounting administration:

  • Sending all necessary accounting evidence to our accountants on a monthly basis (e.g. receipts, invoices, bank account CSV files, etc.).
  • Supporting cashflow processes of EcoTree International ApS (Flagging cash-in in the ApS' bank accounts to have the correct accounting of these items; Controlling supplier invoices before payment; Preparing payment requests to the international CEO and associated bank transfers)
  • Sending bank account files every month to Group Finance.

HR & Support:

  • Support management in handling HR administration matters (e.g. holidays, sick leaves, employment contracts, etc.), and lead the development of our HR policy in liaison with our French headquarter.
  • Prepare payroll items to be performed on a monthly basis, and steer on the execution.
  • Review and control expense claims from the team, and prepare all items for management to validate claims and execute payments.
  • Support the team by handling procurement activities for the office (i.e. supplies, services, logistics support for travel etc.).
  • Actively participate in defining and planning regular social events for the team’s well-being and cohesion (team-building, etc.)

Remuneration: Depending on experience

Workload: Part-time (to be defined)

Location: Our office at Boyesgade 4, 1622 Copenhagen.
