Are you passionate about Purchasing and Supply Chain Management and do you want to drive optimization initiatives and projects within purchasing and planning? Then, you may be the Advanced Supply Planner we are looking for.
About the department
The Purchasing department is part of Sourcing Operations (SoOp) responsible for planning, purchasing, distribution and warehousing of the thousands of materials going into the production worldwide. Our common goal is to ensure reliable supply of quality products (raw and packaging materials) in regulatory compliance at a competitive cost to Novo Nordisk manufacturing sites globally.
You will join a dynamic team of 8 employees responsible for driving the supply chain for all raw materials across SoOp on an operational level in becoming more robust, effective and efficient while ensuring a high service level to our customers.
The job
You will be responsible for securing the supply of raw materials on daily basis while also driving optimization projects and initiatives. The scope of the projects and initiatives can vary, e.g. mainly towards inventory, order management and forecasting process, but also towards the suppliers and the manufacturing sites on an operational level.
You are expected to identify better practices, drive process improvements and act as a role model in the team and department. You will be managing internal stakeholders on all levels and external suppliers as well as communicate and present on management level.
Further, you will be responsible for specific items, and will ensure deliveries to production on time by monitoring inventory levels, prioritise needs from production, place purchase orders and coordinate activities with internal and external stakeholders to secure availability of released material.
In essence, this is a job with a high degree of independence, split between projects and daily operational tasks. By optimizing and standardizing daily operational tasks across the team, it is expected that the degree of projects and initiatives will increase in time and occupy all your resources. The position is temporary with the duration of 2 years.
Qualifications
You have an MSc in supply chain management or similar field, supplemented with a proven track record within the supply chain management field.
You are a high performer and have a proven skills within; process optimization, stakeholder management, communication and change management. You have a strong analytical mindset – both in terms of data and processes. You communicate effectively, meet deadlines and approach tasks in a structured way and you are driven by making a difference.
You are a dedicated team player who inspires trust amongst colleagues and partners and you see continuous improvement as a natural part of your job, and you thrive in a dynamic environment with many simultaneous tasks and changing priorities.
