Medical Writers at several seniority levels
We currently have an opening for Medical Writers to join our global team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your scientific knowledge and writing skills in an important role with Novo Nordisk. Novo Nordisk has been a world leader in delivering therapeutics to patients with serious chronic diseases for over 95 years. In this role, you will work as a strategic partner in a dynamic environment within Global Development, to bring groundbreaking treatments to patients worldwide through planning and preparing a broad range of regulatory documents.
About the department
You will join us in Clinical Reporting, which is the medical writing function at Novo Nordisk. We are part of Global Development and are located in Søborg, Denmark. Global Development is responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to market authorisation. In Clinical Reporting, we are around 80 medical writers and clinical publishers, and we pride ourselves on diversity and professionalism.
The position
As a Medical Writer, your main task is to communicate clinical data in a clear and concise manner. The clinical documents are mainly intended for regulatory authorities and comprise clinical trial reports, investigator’s brochures, summary documents and other documents covering interpretation and documentation of clinical data. We cover all clinical development projects within Novo Nordisk’s different therapy areas, and the focus and daily tasks depend on the type of document and the life cycle stage of the project. Taking charge of the document preparation, coordinating activities, and working in cross-disciplinary teams are important elements of the job.
Depending on your experience, you also have responsibility for developing and improving our technical solutions, internal processes and promoting the sharing of better practices across areas. Furthermore, you might mentor and train other medical writers, and lead improvement projects.
The job is globally oriented and requires close collaboration with colleagues in other skill areas in Denmark and abroad. All documents are written in English.
Qualifications
You have a university degree within natural sciences (M.Sc., M.Sc. Pharm or equivalent), and preferably a Ph.D. You are comfortable writing and communicating in English at an accomplished professional level. You have a genuine interest in communication and you know how to communicate complex information in a clear and reliable manner, targeted the audience.
You are able to work independently and take the lead of a cross-functional team in a changing and dynamic environment, and you can work to tight deadlines. You are good at planning, coordinating and managing stakeholders in order to drive the writing process and to facilitate decision making. You are thorough and structured while being pragmatic and not afraid of challenging the status quo and you have a positive can-do attitude and a good sense of humour.
