Would you like to drive ambitious goals to successful completion? Would you enjoy being professionally challenged every day and ensure that quality issues are handled timely - to maintain a stable delivery of products to a growing market?

We are looking for an experienced supporter to a very complex and intriguing manufacturing setups with lots of opportunities for personal and professional development. We use our quality mindset, productivity knowledge and our problem-solving skills to make sure that everything works as efficient as possible, utilising the many opportunities of contemporary technology.

About the department

In Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1), we produce the core ingredients in the newest Novo Nordisk products, Rybelsys® and Ozempic®. In dept. Fermentation & Recovery, we have been producing the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for all the trials that led to the launch of the products, and now we are ready to produce in full scale, after a comprehensive upscaling of our line and the processes involved.

You will be part the team supporting all the needs of the line. We spend a lot of time on shop floor support, building relations and making sure that we fully understand the reality of everyone involved in the actual production – from operators and skilled workers to specialist and technicians. Whenever an issue arises – and preferably before – we facilitate the problem solving and the development of corrective and preventive measures that will allow the production to continue. Some upscaling challenges remain, and here, we play an instrumental part in overcoming the hurdles that limit our maximum capacity unnecessarily.

The job

Your primary task will be supporting a complex manufacturing setup with a focus on chemical manufacturing processes, surface chemistry and/or sampling methods and generally ensure a stable production with strong quality consciousness. This includes your presence at production shop floor, driving of systematic problem solving, handling of deviations and a responsibility to ensure ongoing updating of instructions and procedures so they fulfil current GMP requirements and follow established manufacturing procedures. You will probably contribute to making us ready to respond to a growing market with more flexibility, employing Industry 4.0 solutions and standards, where automation, online sampling and real-time corrections replace other approaches.

When sudden challenges arise in our production, it will be your responsibility to ensure that action is taken so problems can be solved fast, efficiently and on the right quality level. In this way, we often get to be the people who gets everything up and running again – with the dedicated and proficient help of all our experienced operators, technicians and other supporters. Another important aspect of the job will be to secure optimised performance of the production lines by having an unerring eye for improvement initiatives, optimization possibilities and LEAN activities within quality and productivity and that you are able to succeed with these independently, exchanging insights with other professions. You will be handling many concurrent tasks and it is therefore important that you are good at prioritizing what’s most important while maintaining focus on quality.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position, you must have a master’s degree within chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology or maybe chemical engineering. You have 2-5 years’ experience with fermentation and recovery in the pharmaceutical industry.

We expect you to be proficient in validation techniques, optimisation strategies, project management, data utilisation, audits/inspections or another discipline that have already earned you great results within the pharmaceutical industry. You are ready to be the go-to person for the most difficult challenges, once you have learned how we do things here.

It is essential that you have solid experience with GMP. If you have knowledge of LEAN and a curious nature that enables you to understand our processes quickly, it’s an absolute advantage.

As a person you are a problem solver and you thrive in a dynamic environment where there are always more interesting issues to solve and tasks to dive into. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the business is a prerequisite – you will often have to navigate in a changing environment. You work independently, and you make decisions quickly without compromising quality or innovative thinking. It is required that you are outgoing and have good interpersonal and communication skills as you will be working with many stakeholders with a variety of professions. Fluency in spoken and written Danish is mandatory and in English more than just an advantage.
