Raw Material Laboratory – Maternity Cover
Do you want to support and improve a variety of raw material analyses in a highly professional QC laboratory? In that case you should apply for our open position as chemist in Sourcing QC. Please be aware the open position is a maternity cover (18 months).

About the department
Our department, Sourcing QC, consists of 130 employees who are located in Hillerød and Bagsværd. You will join the Analytical Support team in Hillerød, which is responsible for the chemical control of raw materials and excipients. We have a broad span of analytical techniques such as IR, UV, KF, DSC, HPLC, and GC. We collaborate with a variety of functions, including procurement, warehouse and quality assurance departments.

The position
Your daily work will be in close collaboration with chemists and laboratory technicians to verify and approve the quality of the incoming raw materials and thereby enable a continuously high pace in the production. An essential part of your work is to support laboratory technicians in their daily operations and to ensure analytical methods and equipment meets the industry standard.

Your primary focus will be on chromatographic platforms as HPLC, UPLC, GC and ion exchange chromatography. Knowledge of Empower and LIMS systems combined with a broad understanding of analytical techniques is an advantage.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for handling change requests, deviations, laboratory investigations (OOS results) and pharmacopeia monitoring. A high GMP and compliance mindset is thus required.

In general, the assignments carried out by the department are diverse as we deliver to various parts of Novo Nordisk. This gives a variety of analytical challenges and strong collaboration with your colleagues is therefore an essential key to success. Continuous improvements and systematic problem solving by means of LEAN will also be part of your responsibility.

Qualifications
You hold an MSc in Pharmacy, Engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences. Your degree is supplemented with experience from a similar job in which you have gained in-depth knowledge of working with GMP in a laboratory environment. You have a high level of energy to drive yourself and your colleagues forward. You are result-oriented and take pride in delivering on your milestones and you motivate your colleagues with a positive, forthcoming attitude. You work well independently, although it also motivates you to cooperate with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and departments. Lastly, you must have fluency in written and spoken Danish and English.
