For the Operational Controlling department in the SGRE Service business unit we are looking for an experienced Project Controller to support the commercial project management of all projects in the Global Offshore Heavy Lift department.
The Global Offshore Heavy Lift team of 6 people (excl. technicians) operates a Jack-Up vessel on a long-term charter, which is deployed with internal staff in North European waters to perform heavy lift operations for many different offshore wind farms. Additional Jack-Up vessels are hired in for parallel operations when necessary. Currently, the team is also looking into solutions for the Asian and North American offshore markets.
The vacant position is further supported by a student worker and has a direct reporting line to the Global Head of Operational Controlling within the CFO organization.
How to contribute to our vision
In collaboration with Operational Project Managers you will establish and maintain project budgets and overall cost control of warranty projects by performing cost forecasting, allocation and reimbursement of warranty costs in our IT system (incl. invoice review and technicians’ working hour data validation with the support from a student worker). You will support the Operational Project Managers in the timely issuing of Purchase Orders and in getting tax advice for cross border project activities using our PATAC (Process Adjustment Tax Advice and Compliance) system.

- Maintain commercial SQL database of Global Offshore Heavy Lift to ensure project financial performance can be evaluated in a lean way (with support from a student worker)
- Perform lessons-learned activities of warranty projects on commercial/financial aspects
- Support the Operational Project Managers
- Create Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and ensure that costs are allocated to the right WBS
- Align with the vendors on payment of invoices
What you need to make a difference
We are looking for a candidate who…
- Holds a master’s degree, preferably in the Economics/Finance/Business Administration area
- Has experience with SAP and is a super user in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Knowledge of SQL database is an advantage
- Is self-driven with a quality and detail-oriented approach towards assignments
- Is able to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines, combined with an eagerness to learn new things and implement improvement ideas
