Bagsværd
Would you like to play a key role in delivering a highly efficient training project portfolio to meet business strategies and objectives across Novo Nordisk? Are you a driven and passionate leader with keen interest in project management, competence development and optimisation of performance within regulated environments? Do you believe in LEAN leadership, empowerment and supporting each individual to grow and deliver impact that truly matters to the business and key stakeholders? Then, we have just the right job for you.
About the department
You will join the business area Training & Capability Building which is a part of Global P&O. Within this area you will become a part of Training Partnering and Execution – a business unit whose purpose is to identify, develop and scale best practice training solutions, impacting what matters the most to the business and stakeholders across Novo Nordisk.
You will lead the Training Project Management team consisting of highly skilled training project managers that execute projects across Novo Nordisk in healthcare regulated environments. The team drives multiple complex training projects, never leaving stakeholders before they are satisfied, business impact has been proven and solutions are anchored for long-term effectiveness in relevant business areas.
The core purpose of the team is to identify, develop and implement suitable training and human performance solutions in response to key business challenges. To stay successful, the team applies LEAN thinking and continuously improves their standards to effectively manage projects, while also staying current on modern training delivery methods.
Together with your colleagues in training and capability building, you will be part of driving an ambitious change journey towards globally optimising and aligning our training system while pushing the training agenda towards the forefront of modern technologies and digitalisation.
The Job
As leader, you ensure that everyone on your team is highly engaged, kept competent for the future and clear on our current priorities. You nurture an environment where everybody helps and inspires each other to succeed, grow and develop. You set clear direction for your team and provide coaching and feedback to support development and ensure collaboration. You drive a “customer first” mindset and behaviour. To truly understand what adds value and makes a difference to your stakeholders, you and your team spend most of your time on “shop floor” and with colleagues and customers/“end-users” from the line of business. You treat every team member as an individual and make empowerment work by balancing presence, curiosity and coaching of your team members without ever micro-managing.
You know that success and high performance is built on mutual trust. This is also why you sincerely listen to all team members and colleagues with an open mind and appreciate when people voice their disagreements or share perspectives that differ from your own.
To ensure delivery on the agreed business goals, you apply visual management to ensure open, honest and structured handling of key challenges and problems.
To deliver on the shared business goals, you will lead your team to collaborate as much as possible with other teams across Training & Capability Building. At a strategic level you ensure that all activities and efforts of the team are continuously aligned with current business needs and that the right stakeholders and colleagues are involved in key initiatives and decisions. Finally, you insist that time is set aside and allocated to work on continuous improvement to the team’s work processes and project execution tools and standards.
You will report to the Vice President of Training Partnering & Execution.
Qualifications
You are an experienced, inclusive and grounded leader who knows how to drive operational excellence through people development and growing team collaboration. You know how to foster innovation and improvements as well as how to make empowerment work. Preferably, you have comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or training principles applied in regulated environments. You have a proven track record of handling complex stakeholder landscapes, manage risks and changes in fast-paced settings. You have a relevant academic background, e.g. within Psychology, Adult Education, Organisational Development or equivalent. Most importantly, you are a caring leader who is passionate about supporting your team and colleagues, so that we all succeed together.
