The position Your responsibilities include leading treasury activities across Africa, Middle East, Asia, Oceania and Latin America (Region SEEMEA, APAC and LATAM), including prioritisation and coordination of tasks towards treasury colleagues in Bagsværd and Istanbul, while interacting with Novo Nordisk affiliates on a daily basis and preparing recommendations to senior management. Other key responsibilities include: Leading and coordinating treasury activities across Region SEEMEA, APAC and LATAM. Managing financial risks in affiliates and productions sites while handling their funding and capital structure. Ensuring available and compliant banking routes for sanctioned countries. Limiting the risk of trapped cash in high-risk countries. Maintaining external banking relationships. We expect you to keep a close eye on political events, macroeconomic developments and currency markets and how these impact Novo Nordisk. The key stakeholders will be the Corporate Vice President of Corporate Treasury and senior finance leaders across International Operations. You will be the natural go-to person and be the strategic sparring partner for the organization on treasury activities across these regions.
This is a challenging opportunity to develop your functional and behavioural competencies in a highly professional and dynamic environment which will prepare you for leadership positions in our global finance organisation. The kick-off point of this position will be in Bagsværd for six months of onboarding, before relocating to Zürich. Being part of a dedicated and professional team characterised by a high degree of knowledge sharing and sparring, you can look forward to a broad and international contact base and professional cooperation with our affiliates and the international banking sector. There will be approximately 15 days of travelling outside Switzerland per year.
Qualifications We expect you to have a strong academic background with a Master of Science in e.g. Economics or Finance, and at least 5 years of relevant experience from an international company or the financial sector.
Other success criteria are: Solid problem solving and stakeholder management skills. Strong communication with the ability to make complexities easy to understand. Excellent written and spoken English. On a personal level, you are ambitious, a team player with strong collaboration skills and can work efficiently across functions and geographical boarders, and have the capacity to manage projects and deadlines while working independently. About the department Corporate Treasury is globally responsible for managing Novo Nordisk’s cash and liquidity making sure that sufficient cash is available for both internal and external investments. To protect the cash as well as the profit from negative impacts, Treasury handles and mitigates financial risks, with a key focus on currency exposure, both on a group level and locally in collaboration with the affiliates across the world. People are Treasury’s core asset and consequently we have a strong focus on people development. You will join the Global Financial Risk team in Corporate Treasury, responsible for managing financial risks in affiliates and maintaining and developing the Group’s global cash management set-up. We are a department of seven dedicated and highly skilled professionals with five located in our headquarter in Bagsværd, DK, one located in Zurich, CH and one located in Princeton, US.
