If yes, this is your opportunity to be our new Information Security Advisor with focus on Geopolitical risks, within Global Information Security Advisory (GISA).
The position The Lead Information Security Advisor, will be responsible for a range of areas and activities: Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and respond to information security risks arising from geopolitical developments, regulatory changes, and international conflict Analysis of information security-related geopolitical threat intelligence, including threat landscape, sanctions, political shifts, and local regulations across the globe Recommendations to line of business and stakeholders in DD&IT on security guardrails, compliance, and strategies to mitigate geopolitical risks Develop, implement, and continuously refine information security guardrails that align with global risk landscapes and ensure compliance with local regulations Collaborate with internal and external partners to act as an advisor in risk scenarios and mitigation strategies for geopolitical areas Assistance with training sessions for employees and key stakeholders on emerging risks and best practices in information security, focusing on geopolitical implications Work closely with teams across Global Information Security, Legal, Global Security and Public Affairs to integrate geopolitical insights into our information security strategy Have a strong foundation and knowledge about IT architecture in an increasingly more complicated geopolitical landscape Qualifications We realise that few people are experts at everything. But if you have the following attributes, then you could be the person we are looking for: A master’s degree in information security, cybersecurity, political science, international relations, or a related field is preferred, but not required 5-8 years’ experience in information security, with at least 3-5 years focused on geopolitical risk or related intelligence. Experience in leading functional initiatives and projects is required A proven track record of analysing cyber threat intelligence, geopolitical dynamics, and managing complex risk assessments Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leaders Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are a plus About the department Global Information Security Advisory (GISA) is an integral part of the Global Information Security organisation and is based out of DD&IT in Denmark. GISA is a global organisation with team members situated in Denmark, USA, and India. The GISA department consists of experts across diverse information security domains and strong business knowledge. We collaborate closely with businesses partners throughout the value chain, providing guidance and counsel to ensure the security of Novo Nordisk.
You will be part of a geopolitical risk advisory function, where you will serve as a senior subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance and working closely with our management team, the rest of Global Information Security, and various other relevant departments across the value chain of Novo Nordisk. Your role will be pivotal in fortifying our resilience towards geopolitical threats linked to technology and infrastructure.
