The position
As the Senior Manager of Technology Innovation, you will define and mature the needed technologies to take our new aseptic production facilities version 1.0 to version 2.0. Currently, we are designing and building the first version of our global standard aseptic production facility, but to keep delivering high-quality live saving medicines for patients worldwide, we need continuously to identify and mature new technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
Whilst your technical skills will be at the forefront, you will also have the opportunity to be part of establishing a new department called Innovation, which will be responsible for defining and maturing the needed technology to take our new aseptic production facility across the world to next level!
With your expertise, you will be involved in good process understanding to support the development of a department which requires being flexible to manoeuvre changes and facilitate growth and expansion within a new area.

As a person, you are known for being a natural leader and team player. You thrive on new challenges and are motivated to drive process optimisation. Furthermore, you have great communication skills with experience building relations with stakeholders cross functionally and globally. For this position, you are fluent in oral and written English.
About the department
Innovation is a newly established department in AP Expansions. AP Expansions is anchored in Product Supply, which globally address 19,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 44,000 employees. The responsibility of AP Expansion is to plan and execute the establishment of new aseptic filling capacity across the global manufacturing network within BioTech and Rare Diseases (BRD) and Injectable Finished Products (IFP) for new filling platforms while ensuring harmonisation and global standards. This includes raising the bar for how we handle both ingoing materials and well as the filled items, reducing the need for human intervention.

The position
As the Senior Manager of Technology Innovation, you will define and mature the needed technologies to take our new aseptic production facilities version 1.0 to version 2.0. Currently, we are designing and building the first version of our global standard aseptic production facility, but to keep delivering high-quality live saving medicines for patients worldwide, we need continuously to identify and mature new technologies.
Responsibilities will include:
- Identify and mature the needed technologies and evaluate when the benefit is high enough to upgrade our standard facility to version 2.0.
- Working in close collaboration with work package owners of the different technology tracks (ex. Formulation, filling, wash & sterilisation, and inspection) to help ensure continuous upgrades of the version 1.0 standard facilities.
- Engaging with international stakeholders, harvest the inherent experiences of the company and combine this input with state-of-the-art production.
- Define, plan and execute the needed projects in combination with collaborating and setting the team of project managers and key personnel.

Qualifications
Your experiences include:
- A relevant academic degree with 5+ years of managerial experience and successfully leading on large projects.
- Experience within pharmaceutical industry including aseptic production/ aseptic filling processes.
- Strong manufacturing technical skills from working on the shop floor.
- Demonstrated that you can shape and execute on a strategy in an international environment.
