The position As Senior Contract Manager you will be a part of the project team leadership team who manages a new capacity expansion project! In this role, you will be managing major contracts with key engineering partners to Novo Nordisk in a strategic investment project. The aim is to keep the overall contract overview of supplier performance across all disciplines based on input from other contract managers and engineering partners. This includes an aggregated overview of key milestone status from each Work Package and from key vendors with multiple Work Packages. Among your tasks – under guidance of the Lead Procurement Manager – you will:
• Establish basic monitoring and reporting structures for the project in regard to time, quality and costs
• Support Project Controls and Business Support with cashflow forecasts, claims management and continued development of invoicing and approval processes
• Lead regular contract performance status meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor contract performance
• Ensure that Change Orders are managed efficiently across the project and in consistency with agreed contracting processes Finally, you will set up appropriate escalation procedures to involve Procurement Managers, Category managers, Project and Engineering Management for dispute resolution or risk management and support best practice sharing initiatives with other projects across Novo Nordisk.
All of this will be performed while ensuring adherence to Novo Nordisk contracting standards, policies and project specific guidelines. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you hold:
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Engineering, Finance, Technical, Economics or business sciences
• Minimum of five years of experience within Contract/Claim Management and/or Project Management
• Strong ability to read and interpret contractual documents, including terms and conditions
• A sound understanding of project finance and the impact of contract/claim management on project budgets
• Full proficiency in English both written and spoken Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry will be seen as an advantage, as well as having basic leadership qualities and experience in working with engineering partners – internally and externally and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in writing, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
On a personal level, you have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in different situations and a strong affinity for details, structure and process development.
