You get the opportunity to join the IT/OT team that supports the production department in Gentofte, Denmark, responsible for producing Human Growth Hormone.
Our IT/OT Support team consists of 6 skilled and very committed IT and automation engineers, and we are growing. We service an automation system that primarily consist of PAS-X MES system and DeltaV PCS system.

• play a central role in maintaining and optimising our DeltaV applications, while ensuring stability and support our production lines with your expertise, when they need help for problem solving. If there is a variation in a process, you will be part of the team identifying the root cause and initiating corrective and preventive measures as quickly as possible.
• be assisting with implementing code changes, conducting some of the required tests and producing qualification documentation.
• be working in close cooperation with the colleagues from across the production, getting to know exactly why and how things do what they do. In this way, you will build valuable experience in an ambitious setup, where good ideas are positive contributors in changing peoples’ lives.
• be handling many stakeholder requests and be expected to quickly build a broad knowledge of our setup, allowing you to navigate the interconnectedness of systems, processes and equipment, when variations arise or impacts of improvements need to be assessed.
• join cross-organisational networks of peers, allowing you to build to your know-how and knowledge of how things are done in a state-of-the-art organisation, where specialists, experts and supporters are all eager to share their experience. When you are ready for learning more, we have major projects in our department, that you can become part of. Upgrade of Delta V, implementing MES PAS-X and Delta V in a sister department and digitalize paper-based processes is among some of the future projects, that you will be involved in. Qualifications To succeed as an Automation Engineer, you:
• Have an academic education within engineering or IT development. Perhaps you are a recent engineering graduate with a strong curiosity for production processes and equipment, and with the desire and ability to handle a steep learning curve.
• Have some experience and understanding of how a virtual IT system is built and run in daily operations.
• Have experience with PCS or Scada-systems.
• Have technical curiosity that allows you to understand the details of a complex, extensive production setup.
• Have a strong desire to achieve process knowledge and provide the best solutions in close cooperation with our production.
• Thrive in ensuring that all your work is well documented.
• Have experience with LEAN tools in a GMP environment – it will be an advantage. On a personal level, you are confident that your fact-based solutions are solid, and always have the argument to back it – making it easy for you to energise your surroundings to help you take your solutions from idea to implementation. You are positive, outgoing and you manage to create overview, simplify and explain complex technical contexts to colleagues with different backgrounds than your own – from operators, skilled workers and specialists with heavy hands-on experience, to quality assurance, inspectors and management, with different approaches and levels of technical insight.
