Are you ready to make a difference for people living with hemophilia and other rare diseases? Do you want to work with purification of proteins at laboratory scale and be part of a super engaged team? Then you might be our new colleague in Biotech and Rare Diseases (BRD) API Manufacturing Development. The position We offer you an exciting position, where you will work with many different assignments with a focus on applying PAT ( Process Analytical Technologies) specifically (Real-Time) Multi-Angle Light Scattering (MALS) to protein purification using state-of-the art chromatography and RT-MALS systems. The position is a combination of hands-on laboratory work, daily interaction with our skilled lab technicians as well as documentation. Your focus to start with will be on testing and applying MALS in existing and new purification processes and transfer the developed processes to our BRD production sites in New Hampshire, Gentofte, Kalundborg and Hillerød. In the future other PAT technologies will also be in scope. We are a small group, and you will therefore have a broad variety of assignments and great opportunities for developing your skills. Team spirit is important to us and although we like working independently, we believe in succeeding together. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:
  • A master’s degree or PhD in (analytical) chemistry, biotechnology, or of similar relevance.
  • + 2 years of experience from either a quality control, manufacturing support or process development function with a wide range of assignments.
  • A few years of experience with purification of proteins as well as in dept knowledge of MALS technology.
  • Full proficiency in oral and written in English. The ability to communicate in Danish will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of chemometrics and/or other PAT technologies will be an advantage.
  • As an individual strong communication and collaboration skills are of key importance to ensure efficient distribution of tasks and alignment across the team, the department and within BRD. You thrive in an environment where you get to throw yourself in at the deep end, always seizing an opportunity for personal and professional development.  About the department Our department BRD API Manufacturing Development is located in Gentofte and is part of BRD Manufacturing Development. The department consists of 85 employees and is responsible for supporting new and marketed API products . You will become part of the MSAT Downstream team, which is primarily responsible for support to as well as optimization and development of the Downstream API processes in BRD. Our key stakeholders are both the process development organization as well as production departments in Denmark and in the US. Our group currently consists of a group of highly skilled scientist and technicians and we are now looking for a new colleague with a passion for new technology at the interface between protein purification and process analytical technologies (PAT).
