About the department Novo Nordisk is significantly increasing its manufacturing capacity across all areas to serve many more patients in the coming years. To this end, a new Device Manufacturing & Sourcing business unit (DMS II) has recently been created to ensure medical device component manufacturing and pre-assembly capacity for future growth. In the years to come, we are focused on establishing a new global manufacturing network consisting of suppliers, CMOs and a new high volume manufacturing plant in Denmark. Our DMS II organisation has just started its growth journey, and this is a unique chance to be part of a start-up environment within a large multinational organisation. In the coming period, a wide range of jobs will be posted covering a multitude of fields such as supply chain, engineering, validation, project management, people management, and business administration. The position As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible to support the establishment of device component manufacturing and pre-assembly capacity at a new CMO manufacturing facility in the Americas. To achieve this goal, you will
  • Ensure the timely completion and ramp-up of the factory to ensure it becomes part of Novo Nordisk’s global supply network.
  • Play a crucial role in the CMO selection process by gathering all the necessary technical, quality, and business information required for an effective quotation request.
  • Facilitate the technology transfer, which involves close collaboration with Novo Nordisk's internal manufacturing development organization, equipment manufacturers, and raw material suppliers.
  • Oversee the factory acceptance testing of manufacturing equipment in conjunction with Novo Nordisk and CMO subject matter experts, and subsequent installation and acceptance testing at the manufacturing facility in the Americas.
  • Supervise the process validation in accordance with the CMO's quality management system.
  • Ensure operational readiness according to good manufacturing practices to facilitate a seamless ramp-up.
    • A project of this complexity requires you to leverage a wide range of project management tools while collaborating with various stakeholders both within Novo Nordisk and externally. Your role will encompass tasks such as project planning, organization, and leadership, as well as monitoring, controlling, and reporting on project health. The position as Senior Project Manager is placed in the Project Management Office for DMS II, but until initially you will report directly to the Vice President of DMS II. Until your relocation to the Americas you will work out of Hillerød/Greater Copenhagen area. Qualifications To succeed in this position, we expect you:
  • hold a BSc or MSc degree in Engineering and have work experience in the field of manufacturing development and/or production of medical devices, including process validation.
  • worked as a Project Manager with responsibility for medium to high-complexity projects involving external suppliers and multiple engineering disciplines.
    • As a person, you are good at building and maintaining long-term relationships. You are able to create fellowship amongst your project team members. You have an inquisitive nature and can strike the right balance between driving results and looking out for the wellbeing of your team members.
