Project Manager for complex projects in insulin manufacturing facility Would it energise you to work with complex projects in a truly global, patient-centred organisation, where your skill set will be developed daily through unique challenges? The position As Project Manager, you will ensure that scope, time schedule, economy and quality is adhered to in the projects you work with. You will both lead and support our investment projects, all of which are selected as priorities for the ambitious strategic aspirations of IM2 and site Kalundborg. Most projects are focussed on optimisation, scaling or development towards future process initiatives or introducing new products to the manufacturing lines. We also manage construction projects as the department is developing in size and capacity. Ideally you will have experience in process or construction to complement your skills as a project manager. Part of driving your projects will be following the Novo Nordisk Project Execution Model. You will be performing data-based risk assessments and developing alternative project paths to allow for concise managerial assessment of choice consequences, apart from of course ensuring strong information flows, stakeholder backing and timely delivery. We expect you to have strong people and communication skills and be able to deliver clear and crisp presentations related to your projects. Qualifications As we are managing projects that are both process and construction related, and there for you must either have a solid understanding of the processes and equipment we work with or have solid construction skills. We expect you to have a strong analytical background with technical flair – You may have experience working with processes in a pharmaceutical company. You may hold a civil engineering degree, or have a M.Sc. in chemistry, or similar. Most importantly, you have 6+ years of experience from driving and managing optimisation and/or development projects of an equivalent size in a setup like ours – where regulation and quality management are major parts of the job. You have also formalised your skills through some form of project management education or certification, giving you a range of tools to resolve challenges, manage resources and engage stakeholder concerns. If you have experience managing construction projects, then you must have in-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles. You are familiar with quality, health, and safety standards, and you have knowledge about procedures for permits and licenses from appropriate authorities. We expect you to have communication and people skills, that allow you to build trustful relations with ease, crossing professional and cultural distances efficiently and with respect for diversity of opinions and concerns. You present with conviction and clarity to all organisational levels, energising your surroundings with your ambitious data-driven goals and your well-calculated descriptions of how to get there. Your clear sense of business priorities and process chain dependencies allow for precise analysis of risks and opportunities, and you never promise more than you can keep. You can expect to have your skills challenged by complexity, regulatory constraints and sometimes urgency, and to be presented with a wide range of opportunities for personal and professional development. For the position you must be fluent in English, both verbal and in writing. About the department Insulin Manufacturing 2 (IM2) in Kalundborg is part of the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) area in Novo Nordisk. The plant has seven different departments, with more than 600 colleagues producing the core ingredient of many of the quality products we deliver to people living with diabetes around the world. In the IM2 Project Team you will be part of a team that supports all departments, driving a variety of high importance investment projects developing and optimising the facility.
