We are looking for a multitalented Laboratory Technician to join our PAT development team in PS API manufacturing development (MDev). The position The team is responsible for the development of PAT for integrated real-time process control of current and future manufacturing processes. This includes analysis, instrumentation, chemometrics, data management, and process integration in lab-, pilot-, and production-scale. Together with 1-2 other PAT Laboratory Technicians, you will be the main responsible for our PAT laboratory. You can expect the following elements to be included in this role:
  • You will be expected to handle samples and perform spectroscopic analysis (e.g., NIR, Raman, FT-IR, UV, Fluorescence etc.).
  • You will be using many different types of instruments, as well as participate in testing and implementation of new ones.
  • Tasks and assignments overlap, and you will participate in development work in close collaboration with the rest of the team.
  • In time, you will also take charge of your own projects.
  • Process analytical technology (PAT) is fairly new in Novo Nordisk, and the pharmaceutical industry in general, and you will be joining a group of specialists, Scientists/Engineers, and Laboratory Technicians that develop and innovate PAT from idea to ready-for-implementation solutions. Qualifications We are seeking a highly adaptable Laboratory Technician with analytical and collaborative skills. The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
  • Laboratory Technician (laborant) or Biomedical Laboratory Technician (bioanalytiker)
  • Experience with performing spectroscopic analysis e.g., NIR, Raman, FT-IR, UV, Fluorescence or similar spectroscopic techniques
  • Experience with analytical instruments and data handling
  • Experience with development work
  • Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
  • Additionally, it would be an advantage if you have:
  • Experience with PAT
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry/knowledge of GMP
  • Experience with cLEAN®
  • To have success, you will need to be able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators including project and manufacturing teams, QA/QC, Scientists/Engineers and Technicians in research and analytical teams, as well as vendors and facility engineers. In this team, not many days or tasks are the same, and plans change daily. Hence, a certain level of independence, initiative and maturity is required to thrive in this position. About the Department In Product Supply (PS) API in Kalundborg, we manufacture the high quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) that are the main component in all Novo Nordisk products. Manufacturing development, or just MDev, is specialised in supporting the manufacturing processes. PS API MDev Analytical Support is responsible for providing analytical support to PS API MDev’s optimisation projects, as well as supporting process and analytical development for new products and facilities. The department plays a vital role in support to the production and QC laboratories in PS API. PS API MDev Analytical Support is located in Kalundborg and is comprised of 80 engaged employees organised in five teams. This position is in the PAT development team.
