• Manage, troubleshoot, debug, and diagnose customer issues encountered in application area.
• Manage support escalation issues
• Optimize and maintain uninterrupted operations from the beginning to the end of a software’s life cycle.
• Improve serviceability of the product by managing non-functional attributes and developing tools to scale deployment and auto-support infrastructure.
• Provide analysis of our existing customer base to avoid and minimize risks in the application area.
• Define and lead changes to the product with our development engineering team based on feedback from customers and implementations.
• Work with technology partners to resolve issues and drive improvements in our ecosystem.
• Develop and work on internal and external knowledge base, documenting tribal knowledge.
• Provide and optimize on call rotations and process.
• Manage capacity and performance planning. Manage risks and disaster response,
Key technical skills
• Understanding and experience in managing service reliability for applications on Java 8.0, J2EE stack
• Good exposure to Oracle Service Bus Services
• Experience with API Gateways and integrations (Apigee, Akana, ESB)
• Authentication standards and protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline with Maven, Jenkins, Nexus
• Understanding of Spring Boot, Microservice, Message Queues(JMS based), SQL
• Understanding of effective unit and integration test cases using JUnit, Mockito
• User Management in terms of authorisation (Role based access control implementations)
• Database knowledge for integration – Oracle 12c, JDBC, Cassandra, MS SQL,MySQL
• Strong Experience Using BDD and TDD approaches and tooling
Desirable
• Containerised Deployment – Docker, Kubernetes
• Secure by design
• Scripting Language – JS, Angular, Bootstrap
• Messaging/Streaming – MQ, Kafka
• XSD design and implementation
• Reporting – Microsoft SSRS – configuration/integration • Agile software development experience, preferable with experience of XP or other high collaboration approaches
Business skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to translate between technical language and business language, and communicate to different target groups
• Ability to understand complex design
• Possessing the ability to balance and find compromises between opposing forces and opinions, within the development team
