As a key member of the technical leadership team, you will serve as a liaison to the larger Maersk Engineering community. The ideal candidate is one who has successfully led the development and delivery of complex hybrid-cloud products at scale; is passionate and knows how to get results; is driven to create and build; is operationally credible; possess a relentless focus on the customer; and can effectively build, inspire and lead teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Defining and leading the Discovery Phase of a Product, to collect customer feedback and prioritizing features and epics
• Managing a team of Senior Engineering Managers to drive platform and technology strategy to truly enable DevSecOps and target continuous release
• Set the technical standards for the teams according to guardrails given by the Platform Technology Leader and or Enterprise Architecture team
• Hire and develop high quality engineering leaders while strengthening morale and cohesion across the teams
• Partner with Strategy, Business, UX, Customer Experience and Product teams to build the roadmap for platform evolution and product expansion
• Provide high-level technical contributions to customer relationships and foster service-focused engineering environment
• Ensure product architecture and implementation is optimized for speed, scalability and reusability
• Working with teams across the organization to deliver outcomes for the business stakeholders to define and evolve products from concept to reality.
• Leading lean thinking across teams, focusing on removal of waste in process and handoff points across the lifecycle
• Owner of objectives key results/performance indicator framework and metrics reporting; reporting on team effectiveness (e.g. time to value, release cadence, availability, NPS)
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop a comprehensive understanding of the key drivers and opportunities within the business
• Apply tools, methodologies and standard methodologies for the improvement of the product development process, and to facilitate simple fast and cloud-based releases
• Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions
• Hire and develop high quality engineering leaders while strengthening morale and cohesion across the teams
• Collaborate with other Engineering Directors on interdependencies and best-practices
• Provide comprehensive leadership collaborating with a variety of team members including working cross-functionally with the broader technology team at Maersk to drive common platforms and new services

• Proven full stack and complex architectural experience including UI frameworks, Software Languages, SQL and/or no-SQL databases, high-scale APIs, machine / OT system integration
• High degree of familiarity with Machine Learning concepts and Marketplace principles and demonstrated ability to apply these to improve business results
• Deep knowledge of the various layers of a high-performance IoT technology stack (Asset Edge to Cloud)
• Led teams through fast paced development cycles; committed to automation, agile, lean-startup, continuous delivery approach
• Able to work across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures
• Ability to fully understand business goals and metrics, turn data into insights, and translate requirements into actionable analysis
• Able to present and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication
