Can you convert business needs for data-enabled processes to user friendly tools and solutions? Do you see yourself supporting cross-functional data and IT projects with different stakeholders within the organisation? Then you are a candidate for our new position in the department Supply Chain Optimisation in Clinical Supplies (CS). Apply now! About the department Before drug is approved for market use, drug candidates are tested in clinical trials. CS is responsible for delivering drugs for Novo Nordisk’s clinical trials around the world. Supply Chain Optimisation is a department of 20 colleagues, who work across CS. Our role is to carry out strategic projects optimising the clinical supply chain. Our way of working is informal and ambitious at the same time. We work in close cooperation with Line of Business, who are the users of our solutions, and our approach to internal IT development is agile. We are responsible for IT systems and tools used for supply chain management e.g. for simulation of demand in clinical trials, pack and distribution planning, and planning of clinical trial activities. Our ambition is to become fully digitalised. We want to obtain this by developing new systems and tools and by improving the use and integration of our current IT systems and tools. Introducing our newly established team comprising skilled data engineers and developers who wield a significant degree of influence over the trajectory of our work. This influence extends to shaping the digitalization of our processes and making critical technical choices in our tool development. Currently, our tools are meticulously crafted using the WinForms Framework. However, we hold a resolute ambition to embark on a transformative journey, transitioning our toolset into sophisticated web-based solutions over the course of the coming years. Within our responsibilities lies the crucial task of maintaining our existing solutions. We are committed to uphold their performance and functionality, ensuring they remain at the pinnacle of excellence that our users rely upon. The position As the new Full Stack Software Developer, your role involves crafting novel applications and upkeeping existing ones in CS. Central to this is comprehending and enhancing systems and clinical supply chain data, achieved collaboratively with three fellow Software Developers, a Product Owner, and a Data Engineer. Your domain encompasses designing and developing .NET-based applications and tools. Collaborating with business experts, project managers, and department peers is pivotal. In addition, there's room for you to shape our systems development approach. During projects with external vendors, your role extends to backing and pushing our vendors to excel. At the heart of our ethos is a commitment to forging deep and meaningful connections with our users. Expect to engage in a collaborative partnership that transcends traditional boundaries. Through close interaction, we gather insights that guide us in refining our tools, making them increasingly attuned to the unique needs and aspirations of our valued user community. Qualifications Our ideal candidate holds a degree in engineering, IT or similar and have a few years of experience working with IT and business processes. Additionally, you possess:
  • Solid analytical foundation that you apply in your work
  • Experience with the .NET framework and C#
  • Proficiency in SQL and a mind for backend development, but are also comfortable working on the user interface
  • We are looking for someone who demonstrates a profound flair for data-driven innovation through requirements gathering from Line of Business, crafting insightful mock-ups, and embracing Agile development methodologies. Proficiency in process optimization and digitalization is a must. We're seeking a trailblazer who thrives on challenging the status quo, be it process-wise or technically, to drive dynamic advancements within our team. It is an advantage if you have some experience working with Azure Platform (including Azure DevOps) and/or Cloud based solutions. On a personal level you thrive from helping colleagues, you work independently, deliver high quality, keep calm and focused under pressure and keep deadlines. We require you to be fluent in Danish and English. Working at Novo Nordisk At Novo Nordisk, we don’t wait for change. We drive it. We’re a dynamic company in an even more dynamic industry, and we know that what got us to where we are today is not necessarily what will make us successful in the future. We embrace the spirit of experimentation, striving for excellence without fixating on perfection. We never shy away from opportunities to develop, we seize them. From research and development, through to manufacturing, marketing and sales – we’re all working to move the needle on patient care. Contact For further information please contact Mette Adelsten Mølgård Karlsson at +45-34487236. Deadline 1 September 2023. Interviews will be carried out on an ongoing basis. We need to aspire to be the best company for the world and we know that this is only possible with talented employees with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and cultures. We are therefore committed to creating an inclusive culture that celebrates the diversity of our employees, the patients we serve and communities we operate in. Together, we’re life changing.
