As Senior Outsourcing Manager, you will lead a cross-functional collaboration group comprised of experts from R&D. Your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage various outsourcing projects, specifically in the fields of chemical synthesis and biotechnology. You will also be responsible for: The selection and approval of Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs), negotiating and maintaining relevant agreements (in close collaboration with the contract managers) and ensuring strong and collaborative relationships Protecting Novo Nordisk intellectual property rights while ensuring quality and timely delivery of quality assessments Facilitating cross-organisational collaboration with relevant stakeholders across Novo Nordisk, e.g., in global research, quality, regulatory, purchasing, manufacturing development and commercial manufacturing Setting up and running governance structures with large CMOs The position offers you exciting challenges as well as broad organizational exposure. You will experience a high degree of responsibility and visibility across the business unit.
Qualifications
We expect you to have: A MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other relevant life science degree +5-8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry Thorough understanding of the R&D value chain and development processes along with expertise in Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) Experience with outsourcing working with or at a CMO and strong negotiation skills are advantages Preferably, previous experience working as a Project Manager or Alliance Manager Proficiency in English both verbally and in writing To succeed in this role, excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities is needed as well as capable of working within a complex interdisciplinary organisation.

We develop, manufacture, and distribute drug candidates for non-clinical and clinical trials which is a complicated journey that requires about 10 years of dedicated work in CMC Development. The CMC Outsourcing team supports the Novo Nordisk development pipeline. Comprising of 14 dedicated and experienced employees, the department is responsible for executing sourcing and outsourcing activities, from selecting a competent collaboration partner, negotiating the contractual framework, to project management of the project until all deliverables are completed.
