The position The complexity of this position lies in navigating the network of multiple stakeholders, requiring a keen understanding of their roles and adept navigation skills. Given that the area is still developing, the nature of the role is flexible and may transform over time into a specific therapy area (TA) or another focused project within the unit. As Medical Insights Specialist, you will play a central role in the development and long-term ambition of our newly established Medical Intelligence department situated in Global Medial Affairs (GMA). You will work closely with colleagues within headquarters and regions, covering our entire medical affairs worldwide organisation. In this role, you will be based in Copenhagen and report to the Head of Medical Intelligence. The job requires an ability to work independently on complex tasks and lead projects as well as use in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical value chain to support the development of impactful area deliverables. You will undertake senior tasks and deliverables globally, collaborate with cross functional and area colleagues, external stakeholders, and experts. The current key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Project lead and driver on the development of a global medical intelligence analytics solution supporting key strategic decisions. Drive medical intelligence pilots for selected projects/Tas. Coordinate the sharing of medical insights with medical teams/relevant cross-functional teams in GMA/Novo Nordisk. Developing processes on bridging the medical intelligence function with medical affairs. Pilot and be ready to take the lead on new initiatives in medical intelligence. Pro-actively oversee the external landscape to bring out-side-in perspectives to this newly established unit. Qualifications We are looking for an independent individual who is familiar with how Medical Affairs operates and is strong in stakeholder management. A person who can quickly establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders to collaborate and partner for optimal outcomes. The perfect candidate for this position should hold a master’s degree in a scientific field and have several years of project management experience. Ideally, this experience should be in pharmaceutical industries, preferably the Global Medical Affairs area. We invite candidates with diverse pharmaceutical background, including those from external sources, recognizing the value of varied perspectives. To be successful in this position, you additionally need: Strong communication skills and the capability to effectively structure material to allow easy decision making. Experience in collaborating successfully with many different stakeholders across functions and at different organisational levels, including senior-level management (medical affairs experience, both global and local, is appreciated). Good understanding of the pharmaceutical development value chain Proven record and understanding of medical insights activities (e.g., field medical insights, ad boards, having worked with data/insights gathering systems) is an advantage, but not a requirement. Expertise in collaborating within cross-functional teams and provide insights that help in decision-making of our product development. Fluency in written and spoken English. In addition to the above, you need to have strong analytical skills, ability to analyse, define, and convey scientific and technical concepts in verbal and written communication to demanding internal audiences. In this role, we prioritize creative problem-solving through innovative thinking, emphasizing a self-starter mentality, as independence is crucial not only for project execution but also for advancing them to subsequent phases and levels. As a person, you are eager to learn, well organised multitasker, and a proactive problem solver. You enjoy working in a fast-paced organisation with evolving environment. Finally, you focus on moving tasks forward proactively, can work independently, and bring an innovative mindset in search of novel solutions to the challenges we face. About the department The Medical Intelligence department is part of our Global Medical Affairs area within our Development organization in Novo Nordisk. It´s located in our newly established CVP area Medical Portfolio in Global Medical Affairs.
