Would you like to lead and set the direction of two newly established teams and with more than 18 engaged employees working in the department? You will report to the CVP of Medical Portfolio within Global Medical Affairs. You will be responsible for heading up and setting direction for the Scientific Publications function. The function is established as a fundamental value contribution of GMA and must with significant portfolio growth evolve as a future-fit organisation to ensure successful data dissemination and scientific communication. Your responsibilities will be focused on:
  • Setting direction, implementing structure, and securing well-being for a rapidly expanded team
  • Driving prioritisation and initiatives to enable scaling of activities
  • Strengthening publications governance and execution across the value chain
  • Overseeing collaborations with external academic partners and vendors
  • Safeguarding compliance and publication ethics across the global organisation
  • Leading the Team Leaders responsible for people management of Scientific Publications Managers

  • Qualifications
    To be a competitive candidate, you should have:
  • A relevant high-level education, preferably in life-science or relevant field, and solid understanding of pharmaceutical value chain and cross-functional processes supporting it
  • A demonstrated track-record of running core planning processes in complex organisational setups
  • Established understanding of scientific publishing as well as KOL engagement, and strong and well-documented leadership, people management and communication capabilities
  • A track-record of developing people, both in your formal line of responsibility and through informal leadership
  • Experience from publication planning function within pharma will be considered an advantage
  • As a person, you are open-minded, flexible and your interpersonal skills are second to none, enabling you to build trusting relationships across organisation and with external key opinion leaders to drive excellence in data dissemination and scientific exchange. As a leader you can prioritise efforts to maximise the impact of the team and in this environment, you are recognised as a strong collaborator and facilitator and can identify solutions to complex challenges that meet stakeholder expectations.     Global Medical Affairs improves patients’ lives by being the leading partner in the generation, interpretation, and communication of scientific data with relevant stakeholders. We build the scientific foundation for the next generation of products across disease areas and sustain the strong scientific position of products marketed in over 165 countries.
