Then we can offer you an exciting opportunity as a Team Lead in the Modelling group in the R&D Tracking Department. As Trackman keeps growing, we are constantly striving to further develop, produce and deploy our market-leading sport tracking solutions. We are looking for an expert in mathematical modelling with great people skills to take responsibility for a team of highly dedicated engineers working on physical models for ball flight, club-ball collision, kinematics and more.
Our technology
Trackman products convert raw data from Doppler radar signals to measure ball and equipment kinematics for sports. A patented combination of camera and radar fuses the radar signal with information from video feeds and other sensors. This provides extremely accurate, valuable insights for athletes ranging from top world-class professionals to enthusiastic amateurs, as well as coaches, scouts, and clubs of all levels.
The Tracking Department is a software department, which consists of more than 30 highly skilled developers with backgrounds in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematical modelling, physics and mathematics, with the primary task of converting raw Doppler radar signals and high-resolution/high frame rate video to actionable measurement data about ball flight and club swing. Data is consumed by athletes, coaches, teams and broadcasters to improve performance, analyze players, enhance viewing experience and more. Tracking algorithms are a central part of all Trackman products.
About the role
The Team Lead role for physical models is a newly created position in the Tracking Department. Your primary role will be to lead, coach and develop the team members while driving the technical direction for the team. As it is a newly established role you will have the opportunity to shape the role the team plays in development projects. You will continue to strengthen the team by hiring in strong talent and ensuring a good onboarding for the new employees. You will assist team members in prioritizing tasks and coach them to find the best solutions, while ensuring that work processes are documented and knowledge shared across the team to leverage outcomes and solutions.
The Physical Models team consist today of 5 people, but is expected to grow.
