The position
As a Sourcing Professional, you will be responsible for activities related to sourcing and contracting of Laboratory Equipment. We expect you to act as the primary contact with end-user of equipment in research and production and plan and execute their laboratory investments. Your main responsibilities in this role will include: Coordinating purchasing activities to optimise bundling and pooling of orders Understanding and communicating specifications to suppliers, including the ability to read drawings to determine dimensions, tolerances, and technical specifications Define negotiation strategies and drive end-to-end sourcing process for approved investments in Laboratory Equipment Mitigate supply chain risks and monitor orders to ensure on time delivery Acting as the primary point of contact on procurement of laboratory equipment across business areas The day-to-day operation is a varied mix of above responsibilities and includes a high degree of interaction with both internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you hold a master’s degree with excellent results or at least 3 years of relevant working experience within procurement. Other success criteria are: Strong administrative skills and flair for planning and coordinating Good understanding of sourcing processes and associated tools E xperience using Microsoft Office (knowledge in Coupa or SAP is a plus) Strong communication skills. Flair for details and an interest in improving and simplifying processes Fluency in English (Danish is considered an advantage) On a personal level, you are a team player who is used to working in international and diverse professional groups, while feeling comfortable working under pressure and in a dynamic and changing environment. In Corporate Procurement, we build strategies and execute improvement projects to optimize the global indirect spend of DKK 40 billion related to, e.g. R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services, and IT. The R&D and laboratory sourcing department supports the global R&D organization and is responsible for ensuring the products and services supply required to conduct research from a molecule to a product that will help millions of people around the world.
