Join our team of dedicated procurement colleagues and work with us to digitize our rates and terms, optimize our processes, drive transformation, and develop and implement global polices and governance in our Landside Transportation Category (including truck, rail and barge services).

The Functional Product Owner community at Maersk is playing a central role in redefining the way that Maersk serves our customers.

In this role in Maersk Logistics & Services Procurement, you will be the global lead and the focal between the different Landside Transportation teams that need to come together to transform how we capture and use the contractual rate and terms data across platforms and dashboards to drive automation, increase compliance and enhance forecasting and reporting.

You will collect requirements from end users as well as risk and compliance teams and connect with the digital/tech developers to determine digital solutions to capture the identified requirements. You will be responsible for coordinating end user testing for new solutions or enhancements made to existing solutions and ensure that feedback and improvement needs are assessed with the developers for prioritization.

You will also be responsible for outlining the processes, SOPs and general governance around the digital solutions as well as ensuring that end users are actively using the tools available and that the quality of the input is consistently at an acceptable level. You will ensure we develop, maintain and automate the solutions at a continuous basis. You will ensure rate structures follow agreed global standards or approved local exceptions and together with the relevant colleagues and teams coordinate the creation of new standards when needed. You will also be responsible for raising budget needs and outlining a business case for the budget request.

A key part of the role is working with the teams to drive transformation into global standards, ensuring best practice sharing across teams and functions and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities


• Global lead and focal point for the development of digital solutions to capture contractual rate and terms for within the L&S Landside Transportation scope
• Identify automation opportunities linked to the digital rate and terms solutions and outline plan for implementation
• Drive transformation and innovation on how we work with digitizing our contractual rates and terms
• Capture and define requirements for the various digital solutions and ensure requirements are in line with global standards or approved exceptions
• Coordinate with global and local procurement teams for the development and maintenance of the digital solutions
• Outline scope, timelines and resource needs for the different solutions
• Coordinate end user testing and feedback between relevant teams
• Outline processes, SOPs and governance for the rate repositories
• Identify performance and compliance requirements and determine how to implement
• Review and drive performance and compliance and discuss improvements with relevant teams.
• Continuously maintain, develop and automate rate repositories keeping in mind impact to upstream or downstream processes/platforms consuming the rate and terms data
• Ad-hoc strategic projects participation.

We are looking for


An inspiring change and project manager with +5 years’ experience that can take the procurement teams on a transformation journey and handle multiple projects at same time with different drivers and stakeholders.

You have project management experience (preferably within procurement, finance/cost control or tech/digital) combined with transformation and/or change management experience in (co-)building robust long-term roadmap.

Furthermore you:

• Have experience with digital transformations

• Have the ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and to influence and impact without authority

• Have basic understanding of Procurement and/or Procure to Pay processes are an advantage

• Are a strong believer in process excellence that can design and implement global processes and governance across multiple locations, teams and system landscapes

• Have excellent written and verbal communicator in English.
