We are looking for strong Functional Product Owner eager to join our Contracting Processes team, to make the strategy of being the Global Integrator of Container Logistics a reality.

An exciting opportunity where the right candidate will become part of the functional product organization which is responsible for the Lead to Agreement (LtA) processes at Maersk.

In this role you will ensure we define the right business requirements for our Platforms, centered on our customers’ needs, that will eventually deliver world class user experiences.

Multiple Functional Product Owners collaborate to drive a standardized and automated end to end process landscape at Maersk, along with embedded control measures. Our Functional Product Owners for M&A have a special focus on the assessment and integration of LtA processes for business acquisitions.

A key part of this position is to play a strong role in deep-diving the As-Is commercial processes of businesses across our portfolio and being able to evaluate and make process recommendations based on the findings.

Key Responsibilities

The Functional Product Owner – M&A owns evaluation, assessment and functional design recommendations for processes within the Sales and wider Lead to Agreement (LtA) organization, with special focus on supporting the LtA Contracting processes of our M&A portfolio.

You will center Voice of Customer to define the sales process requirements to bring value and improvement to our end users.

You will make recommendations of sales & contracting process design and play a key role in the technological developments needed to support the function deliver these capabilities.

You will also play the role of change agent to deploy your design within the organization.

To ensure you deliver on this you will need to:

• Be accountable for process assessment, with ability to identify synergies and gaps between acquisition business and the One Maersk transformation process journey
• Maintain an up-to-date view of the As-Is process maps of businesses under integration journey
• Perform evaluation, assessment and recommendations of As-Is Contracting processes, to identify and prioritize where commercial process elements can be learned from & leveraged, or need to be prioritized for change implementation

• Be accountable for standardization and automation of the process steps. Along with all the peer L3 Functional owners, responsible in ensuring that as Maersk we achieve the standardization goals
• Define the operational metrics that measure the success of the respective process outcomes, including adoption and non-technical metrics, and track the performance towards our standardization & automation goals
• Work with Platform Product Owners to ensure User Stories deliver intended product, aligned to our customer-centric business priorities
• Establish control measures so that processes are deemed well-defined, repeatable, and consistent, with no high impact audit findings from internal or external auditors. Ensure all audit findings are progressed and closed to completion within timelines
• Define Business Policy Choices to be made to enable high degree of standardization to the process landscape.

Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate will likely have domain expertise of 10-15 years in the respective space gained at Maersk or similar external experience.

You bring clear-thinking to complexity and are comfortable working in a highly visible role that impacts across the entire business.

You apply design thinking methods in designing robust processes that can operate at industrial scale.

Former experience working in Agile environment will be deemed as an advantage but not a minimum requirement to apply.

Your Customer Obsession means that you always start with the Customers and ensure that the process designs are always delivering great experiences.

Furthermore you:

  • Have strong consultative skills, including the ability to lean-in, with strong listening, inquiry and facilitation skills
  • Have comfort presenting to a broad range of diverse stakeholders, including leadership
  • Have high energy and you happy to work simultaneously on both your assigned scope as well as push the entire team’s scope forward
  • Are true team player, and enjoy delivering great results as a team, rather than only on your own. We play team sports in the Sales processes & wider LtA team!
  • Are hands-on, attention to detail, process oriented and carry a mindset of ‘learn it all’ instead of ‘know it all’
  • Are someone who can use your analytical and logical mindset to solve exceptionally complex problems
  • Are a natural communicator, and collaborator with an action bias
  • Are excited by and preferably have experience with technology and you embrace the platform and product thinking
  • Have a track record in change management through communication and working with data-based decision making.
