Maersk Oil Trading (MOT) is looking for a Biofuel Certification Manager join Renewable Fuel Trading team in Copenhagen.

MOT is part of the Transport & Logistics Division of APMM and is responsible for ensuring best in class bunker supply in more than 200 ports globally for more than 750 vessels. We source more than 10 million metric tonnes of fuel annually from external suppliers and via our own supply chain.
You will join our Renewable Fuel Trading team that trades and originates biofuel worldwide driven by APMM decarbonization agenda and external regulations.

You will be responsible for
Reporting to the Head of Renewable Fuel Trading based in Copenhagen you will:
- Understand current and recognize emerging sustainability certification systems and legislation related to biofuels used in logistics sector. Based on that you will provide specialist support for biofuel origination agenda and identify new business opportunities.
- Gain in-depth knowledge and follow sustainability verification and GHG accounting certification schemes development at relevant level, communicate these to internal stakeholders and participate in influencing the related regulation.
- Collaborate with Decarbonisation Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs teams to develop and formulate policies and advocacy strategies. You also support other internal teams in various ways as an expert in biofuel sustainability certification systems and their practical implementation.
Who we are looking for
- Minimum five years of work experience in commodities certification schemes, supply chains or logistics
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills to engage and drive clarity both before internal and public audiences
- Ability to prioritize and perform effectively in an area with high complexity and ambiguity
- Commercial and creative mindset with an eye for detail
Additionally, we would value:
- Knowledge of IMO’s and EU’s climate policies in transport sector and sustainability questions in biofuels supply chain
- Experience in project management and business development
- Basic understanding on life cycle analysis and greenhouse gas emission calculation concepts
- Proactiveness and hands-on attitude as this role is an individual contributor role
- Excellent communication skills in English.
